LibreOffice Portable

A recent install of LibreOfficePortable 3.6.1 has 17,937 files despite specifying the delete of unused languages. Something seems very wrong. Nearly 18,000 files required (many of them apparently help and text files in unwanted languages)on devices with a limited number of i-o cycles seems absurd. Are there really no other directories that can be eliminated from the install? Has this application really been pared of unneeded language files as specified during the install options?

Just noticed this morning (though haven't fired it up in about a week) that LibreOffice isn't working,it crashes during the splash screen at startup. There is no error window that pops up other than it stopped working and Windows Error reporting says it'll notify me of a fix (yeah, right!). I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling twice to no avail, deleting the entire folder, the 'user' folder it created on my flash drive, etc. I downloaded and installed the full version on this PC and it works like a champ, so not sure what's going on here.

Is there any way to start quick starter? Maybe a shorcut to start it... LibreOffice starts really slowly even second time :/

I've read at https://www.libreoffice.org/download/portable/ :

An experimental option during installation allows you to remove extra language templates, dictionaries, etc. but may require launching LibreOffice twice on first run to complete the process.

Is this in the NORMAL download or the ALL (languages) Download. I only need US English language, no other languages.

Not sure what is going on, and I couldn't re-create it to take a screenshot, but ...

Essentially - I have a speadsheet with a numeric value in a cell. I change the value in the cell and hit Entry. The cell displays as blank, even though the updated value is shown on the address bar and used in subsequent cells.

I can click on other cells and the value is not displayed in the affected cell - however, I can save the worksheet and/or change the format of the cell to currency and back and then it does display.

The files are saved as .xls files, if that makes a difference.

After a upgrade, LO won't start it displays the following 2 errors:

Fatal Error:
Unhandeled exception:
InvalidRegistryException:
file:///D:/LibreOfficePortable/App/libreoffice/program/../share/extensions/pdfimport/components.rdb:duplicate

and

Runtime Error!
D:\LibreOfficePortable\App\libreoffice\program\soffice.bin
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an usual way.

'Tried deleting the user files, no success. Tried complete delete & reinstalling, no success. Any tips?

I have the 32bit version of Libre Office portable 3.5.5.3.

LibreOffice would warn me JRE not installed if I tried to use a feature that required java to run eg when I went File | Send...

So I installed jportable 32bit JRE inside LO's java dir. But now it crashes when I go back to File | Send...

Fresh Java installed this morning
Last night I used the PortableApps start program to verify that I have the lastest apps. It updated LibreOffice to 3.6.1.

Now when I attempt to run LibreOffice Portable or Base, I get an error saying that Vista closed it because of Data Execution Protection.

3.6.1 takes about 10 seconds to load whereas 3.5.4 only takes 3 seconds to load.

Just wanted to see if it's that slow for you too?
