LibreOffice Portable

Just to let you know:-

Installed the above version of Libre Office and Norton Sonar has removed soffice.bin (soffice.bin) giving the following reasons:- Suspicious Behaviour detected , Users Unknown, Risk High, Origin Not available, Activity Threat Actions Performed: 3 .

Result is LibreOffice does not work.

Before the Run the app tick box is presented, the app got launched.

I Recently upgraded both, the platform and most of the applications.
Now on a call for LibreOffice it shows the small window for startup, tells me something about a repository for bundled extensions, announces starting a danish (?!) spell checking dictionary and then ...
The progress bar reaches about 50% ...
The LO-startup-window vanishes and no further action is to be seen.

I have tried both: the upgrade by PortableApps and the ...paf.exe from LibreOffice site. Same result.

A windows install of LO (same version) on the same system works fine.

Latest Version will not install, corrupted?

LOP is taking a flat 45seconds to start on my laptop. Once it is launched it is working fine, but why this delay??? Any workaround this problem?

The LibreOfficePortable folder is right on my C:/>

Since update 3.5.4.2 equations in LibreOffice Writer (Math equations) are ugly.

Some of the equation objects looked very wrong, but opening them up and closing them mostly fixed them.

The lines in square roots don't connect. There is a weird font issue, so the symbols just don't look as nice. Some of the parenthesis are far too thick.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling LibreOffice. No luck.

After several days of trying to get this version to work, I've discovered that if the Help - Tips (for Toolbar buttons) is checked in Options - LibreOffice - General, then LO 3.5.4 becomes unusable. I don't know if I'm the only one with this or why it happens, as the non portable version on my PC at home doesn't suffer from in the same way.

This option was checked in my previous copy of LO Portable 3.5.3 and worked well.

If I've done something wrong or missed something please advise. Thanks.

1) I ran LibreOffice Portable 3.5.4 from PortableApps Platform on a USB stick.

2) After terminating the application and the platform, I tried to eject ("deactivate") the USB stick. OS (Windows 2000) denied the request; obviously, some data object on the stick was still in use.

My latest upgrade to LibreOfficePortable 3.5.4.2 has corrupted my bullet lists: The characters have changed to different symbols.

I discovered, that the default symbols obviously come from the open symbol font, which I could find in a path among the other font files.

Then I tried to register open symbol in windows and this fixed it: my usual bullets were back!

Unfortunately, registering components in windows isn't the idea of portable software and wasn't necessary in the past...

After the last upgrades of LibreOfficePortable the german dictionary (default, also system and installation language) doesn't work any more: no correction, no hyphenation.

Funny is, the dictionary still exists, is registered as an extension, so everthing seems okay, but it isn't shown among the languages in the linguistic options.

I had to do a fresh install to get it working as expected.

This happened twice, for the last two upgrades, so it doesn't seem to be fixed or addressed as a bug...
