LibreOffice Portable

Is it OK now to associate Libre Office files (.odt) with the Libre Office portable app?

I know it was shunned earlier, because by doing that, your associating the file with the the app and not the launcher, but I read in the forums that there were plans to integrate file associations with portable apps. I wasn't sure what the status of that was.

When LO 3.5.1 available? The installer version is operational for some two weeks.

for all peers, here is a quick how-to on how to use the offline version of help, in those cases when online access is not possible or severely limited.

1) download the corresponding help file from the LO-website, the version has to match your installed language and version number.
2) install the files locally
3) copy the local files (typically something like c:\Programs\LibreOffice\*) to ..\LibreOfficePortable\App\libreoffice\Basis\* and overwrite the target files. At the time of this writing, the folders are:
"help" "presets" "program" and "share".
4) uninstall the local help pack

LibreOffice worked great until today, I update Java-portable and Libreoffice both. Java works fine (I try it with Jdownloader). But Libreoffice could not start. It show the splash screen but after seconds Windows 7 gives me a warning and writes that the LibreOffice should close.

I did an "install" of portableapps, then jportable, jlauncher and finally libreofficeportable, but I am unable to start any libre program
though they appear in process explorer
I have to kill them from there beacuse they are of no use to me that way and when tried relaunching one I get
The application cannot be started
a file status object could not be filled

I am getting an error while trying to install a free extension called EuroOffice Sparkline. The extension is listed in the OpenOffice extension catalog and also here:

I tried installing it in both LibreOffice Portable 3.5.0 and OpenOffice Portable 3.2. I get very similar error messages that I am including below. My system is a Win XP SP3 with 4GB RAM.

LibreOffice 3.5.0 crashes when too many/too large files opened in Writer - doesn't give out-of-memory warning? Running directly from USB drive, trying to open 30 or 40 .docs. Several GB of disk space on both USB and hard drive available.
Can someone write an error handler for it? Maybe just stop opening files and display the ones already opened?

I have the latest version (3.5 portable) and I need to uninstall. But there is no uninstall link in Programs and Features (Win7) -- (Installed without the Portableapp app manager.)

I realize I can simply delete the folder, however, there are a million entries in my registry which need to be cleaned. Why would there be an installer for an application that doesn't create an uninstall routine????

I am unable to open any Libre Office3.5 portable programmes under w7ENG x 64. I get the following error message.

I have the same problem in my PC using Mc Afee, and LO 3.5 crashes. AVG don´t detects any virus but the LO 3.5 crashes too.
I resolve the problem using the program directly from flash USB (not from the PC).
When using USB LO 3.5 works fine in both cases.
Hope this help until the false positive for filterconfiglo.dll be removed
