7-Zip: Theme Manager for 7zip

http://www.7ztm.de/

I'm not the developer/author of this application, so I take no credit for the work nor responsibility if anything that may happen to your system and/or data. I simply found it via a Google search and wanted to share it here since I've been a lurker around here for years.

I did see there was a post here asking how to change the 7zip icon, and this application will do just that. I believe it will work straight out the gate once you specify which install directory to point to. It works fine on my local install of 7zip on Windows 7.

Rocketdock - Running multiple instances of Rocketdock.

Submitted by Go4Troy on July 11, 2011 - 2:07pm

Im trying to run multiple instances of Rocketdock. Here is what I'm trying to do. I have say 10 different utilities I like to run..things like system info, defrag, file wipe, file recover, etc.....in my main Rocketdock dock, I want to have an icon for 'Utilities', when I click it, I want a second dock to appear showing the individual utilities icons.

Can this be done?

hi guys,

i'm new with this portable apps stuff.

i just want to ask a few things.

how can i associate file types with 7zipportable, i tried it in the options menu but it won't. i've tried associating file types with another portable app from winpenpack, specifically, the x-mpchc, it just does it fine. but with 7zipportable it won't.

last, can we integrate 7zipportable to the shell context menu?

thank you.

[Fixed] 7-Zip 9 doesn't remember settings

Submitted by Bruce Pascoe on December 22, 2010 - 11:39pm

Just did a clean install of 7-Zip Portable 9.20, and now it won't remember any of my customizations after closing. Whenever I start it, it resets to its default settings. Not sure what happened, but this is definitely a regression as 7-Zip 4.x worked fine.

Operating system is Win7 Ultimate x64, with Platform 2.0b5.

How to get a 7-zip shell context menu

Submitted by nowotny on December 9, 2010 - 5:18am

Hello.

Disclaimer: I run PortableApps from HDD on all my computers and sync it with Dropbox. I do that because I like to have the apps with their settings in one, easily transferable folder. I do not carry it on a stick. So, if you're anything like me keep on reading. Wink

Problem: If you try to integrate the portable 7-zip with the shell context menu it'll throw the "Can't find 7-zip.dll" error message at you.

Solution:
1. Install a "normal" version of 7-zip from their site: http://www.7-zip.org/
