if you are using the disable splash screen option / or the .ini settings file at all(i think) it will not write any newly changed settings. ie: background image, font settings etc...

i think this could also be related to plugins not working as well.... havent tested. but i remember trying to install plugins and some were not working.

ive traced my problems back to the point where i went to use the settings ini and thats when it all started. temporarily moved out the ini file and tested, program started saving settings again.

Pidgin 2.7.3 has been released (see http://pidgin.im/). Will it be available soon as a portable app?

I try to setup tortoisesvn to use puttyportable for ssh and have a problem.
Tortoisesvn with a standard putty installation is working fine.
If I take the parameters I use in the standard installation and put them in the portable one,then I get an error message trying to connect to a repository
When I try to see the log of a file for example, it open the puttyportable splash windows then there is an error message : invalid port number.

Any idea ?

I've noticed that every time there is a new line of output in a session (whether it is coming from the remote host or I type a command and press enter), the access light on my usb drive blinks. I'm not sure if the app is reading or writing. Is there any way to disable this?

By the way, to the dev's of this and every portable app: huge thanks for such an great set of tools.

I use this Pidgin on Windows 7. After removing an entire folder of Pidgin to another location I can't access my acounts. When I run Pidgin the welcome window will always appears. Of course, I've got a purple folder in Pidgin. Don't you happen to know where is the problem?

Hi everybody. I have found a file in C:\Documents and Settings\User\PUTTY.RND Does anybody know what is it? I think it's a file of UltraSurfPortable, but I'm not sure.

I'm not sure if it's my settings or if I have too many people on my list(which is unlikely since I know people who have thousands of contacts), but Pidgin always takes forever to start on my usb flash drive, even slower then firefox portable!
Any suggestions?

I was using this function but since the last version, when i enter "portable" by example to search in the containing path, filezilla gives me all the path containing p, o, r, t, a, b, l, e...

The latest version is still have the problem, it will create a new data base after exiting the program. The old date base will become ***.bak.

The Miranda Application is already at version 0.8.25 but the protable version still is 0.8.19. When does the updated version will become available as protable?
