Hi,
Is there any chance of including the .dbgsym files in the Pidgin Portable installer [as an option]?
Thanks

Hi there,
Just tried the pidgin portable version, works like a charm so first of all I'd like to thank the PA and Pidgin folks for the WLM alternative (which was a labeled "crosoft PITA").
I was just wondering, I created my own spashscreen (as the default one is a little bit ... not my cup of tea) How do I put mine on the *.exe ?
If you want to see it I'll send it to you, why not put mine in the boot of the *.exe
thank you in advance for the answer.
greetings from France.
Could you please include miranda-im-v0.9.16-unicode-contrib.7z in the package?
Hi all
I just recently went to full mobile, using pidgin and opera under WinXP. On some developers' forum someone posted a patch file that allows Pidgin to use different browsers. My question: could this work on a Windows based system? From what I understand, the patch modifies some parts of GTK file(s), but I guess Portable Pidgin (the Windows executable) has only the necessary elements of GTK so the patch would not have any effect (also, the Linux version has got a "Browser" option in the preferences, which can't be found on the Windows version).
Pidgin has started crashing recently... (I am currently running Pidgin 2.7.9) this is the error message shown when run thru debugger:
Unhandled exception at 0x77059d15 in pidgin-portable.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x00000065.
Any ideas what might be the issue? The only recently-added plugin I use is SIPE 1.10.0 (Windows), but this error occurs even if that is not installed.
Hi,
Thank you for your efforts at creating the portable version of putty.
Maybe I missed something obvious, but do you publish the modified source code for the putty portable app? Better yet is there an actual "diff" of the changes made by you for portability against the original code?.
Thank you again
Does someone has experience with current versions of filezilla when transferring large number of files?
I had to shift some server contents to other location. Ok , took the tool I was using frequently so far, the filezilla portable. But to my surprise the connection was very bad, many repetitions of files transmission, all taking time for ever etc.
Tried then the very old wsftp, and all was perfect, also tried the fireftp in the firefox and this went also fine.
Are any known issues or can the filezilla be somehow tweaked to work as it used to?

Hi portable apps community,
I was wondering why pidgin portable's Perl support is disabled by default (according to the Build-Information menu item) but yet contains a perl.dll file in the plugins folder. Is there a particular reason for that?
I'm not sure if I'm the only one, but I would love to use my perl plugins in the portable version of pidgin as well
When I switched from ordinary portable Miranda instalation to PortableApps Miranda, I have noticed, there are two Miranda processes instead of one. I am curious what is causing this? Why standard portable Miranda needs just one process, and PortabeApps Miranda needs two processes?
Here is screenshot of these processes:

Best regards.
