Internet Apps Support

If I decide to use Pidgin-Encryption 3.0 or Pidgin-OTR 3.2 and my contact is not using it are messages that I send and recieve still encrypted and invisible to my ISP? Or both contacts have to use those "add-ons" to make the chat encrypted. I don't care if the chat isn't completely encrypted. Is it invisible for my ISP if only 1 party (me) is using it?

My apologies for what are undoubtedly very basic questions:

1. Any problems sending/receiving pictures (.jpg images) with Pidgin Portable? Or is it text only?

2. Any chance a spell checker of some sort is built into the app?

If the answers are "no," feel free to recommend a portable app that does offer something more like what I want.

Only had 1 window open, playing NeverWinter Nights and it goes BOOM with the ram and I start lagging like HELL! LoL

I cann't switch GUI language to "zh_TW".

After upgrading my pidgin portable to 2.4.3 version it crashed and the error was caused by "libgg.dll". I replaced it with the "old" one (extracted from v. 2.4.2) and now it works. Any ideas? My OS: Windows Vista Home Basic, hardware: F-S AmiloPro V3545.

not really a patch but its working for me.

download the new pidgin 2.43 and extract the "liboscar.dll" and replace the "liboscar.dll" in \PidginPortable\App\Pidgin\ and you can login to ICQ.

I get the following error when ICQ tries to connect. It worked fine this morning.

The client version you are using is too old. Please upgrade at http://pidgin.im/

Pidgin's website also seems to be down, so I'll investigate again, more, later tonight.

Have any of you successfully used a theme on pidgin portable WITHOUT having to install the full version on windows? I feel as if I'm missing something obvious here...I know where to put the themes, I just can't seem to get them to register at all. The app constantly looks the same.
Any help?

There isn't a readme included and I can't find how to install it. I know it fairies depending on the plugin. If anyone knows how to install this, I'd appreciate the help. Thanks.

The basic problem I'm having is that I deleted Pidgin, gtk, and aspell from my usb drive and tried to reinstall. I can't reinstall gtk because I guess the computer thinks that it's already there (didn't use the Add/Delete menu because Pidgin was installed on my usb drive and shouldn't be on that menu anyway.) I've tried using a registry cleaner, and I have no recent restore points. I suppose I could reinstall gtk, but the version packaged with Pidgin seemes to be slightly old and a bit harder to find. Any help, please?
