Can anyone tell me how can I have the same profiles, plugins, skins etc that I have on my installed miranda in my portable one???

BTW, the installed one is the up to date version, not the same version I have as portable... and is on Win Vista.

Thanks in advance!

A bug and a brief instructions to use with Putty Agent with a little coding newbie guide.

I personally tend to always use keys for logging in and only start putty via the putty agent. Also I did not like the behaviour of putty portable where the last putty window is closed you need to run putty portable again. Behviour that puttys sessions are in the registry all the time the agent is running is what I wanted.
Also being nicely portable it allowed my to store my private keys, and sessions on a truecrypt volume for security reasons.

Portable Pidgin and Safe Eyes

Submitted by wingmanjd on January 1, 2008 - 5:54pm

Hello all,
I'm running the official Pidgin Portable (v2.1.1), and it functions just fine at home or work. However, when I go to a friend's place, and their internet filter Safe Eyes is on, Pidgin freezes. Also, Pidgin causes the Safe Eyes to crash. It will continue to crash until I force quit Pidgin. Then Safe Eyes works again. I realize that this situation isn't common, but any advice would be welcome.

Note: Portable Miranda and regular AIM work just fine on the machine.

Pidgin: Wont let me in

I have been using the newest version of pidgin portable without any problems for about a month, but now i click on the icon and it starts its loading process. Once it brings up the small screen that shows the pidgin icon and portable icon it goes no farther. Any ideas of what is going on.

Pidgin: Updating Manually from 2.1.1 to 2.3.1

Now, because I know what some people might think this thread is, it's not. I'm not asking when the next release/update will be, but rather a question for those who work behind the scenes.

I just got an idea today, to upgrade my Pidgin from 2.1.1 to 2.3.1. I figured I could easily do it, but just replacing the files in the App/Pidgin/ directory under the PidginPortable folder to the recent files from the standard local install (with the except of the pidgin.exe) and it should run.

Installing Pidgin Plugins

Hi,

Tried searching but can't find what I am looking for (or I really missed it), but what are the files needed to get a plugin installed 'portable' to Pidgin-Portable? I mean, USB friendly (less writing and stuff)? Any specific files I should concentrate on? Or it's not that simple?

Thanks a bunch. Smile

Best Regards
