GIMP: Alternate Download
Hello,
I'm deployed overseas - and apparently the download section of sourceforge is now blocked on our network. Does anyone know of an alternate location to download the portable GIMP from?
Thanks!

I have tried both versions of 2.2.11 and both have come up with the same error (though in the second version atleast the app actually launches and I just have to click through dozens of error messages).
The two messages that are popping up are (besides the already known messages: gspawn-win32-helper on startup):
This application has failed to start because libgimpui-2.0-0.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.
This application has failed to start because libgimp-2.0-0.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.
Any help with that would be great.
I am not all that familiar with Gimp as I am a fanatical PS user but I think Gimp would make an excellent substitute for PS on my portable.
Would it be possible to include the help files with the portable version of Gimp for those of us first time Gimp users? Were they intentionally left out to save space?
Just installed on my portable La Cie hard drive the new .ini file, its marvelous is opening the gimp in few seconds, instead of long time as before. Thank You
The PortableGIMP.ini file has a spelling error for the GTK-bin
directory:
it should be changed from:
gtk\gin
to:
gtk\bin
But any way, you will get an error during startup that the system was not able to find gtk libraries. In the PortableGIMP.nsi the following lines need to be changed:
90 StrCpy "$GTKDIRECTORY" "$EXEDIR\$0"
92 StrCpy "$SETTINGSDIRECTORY" "$EXEDIR\$0"
The $EXEDIR should / must be removed.
When I start Gimp I get libglib-2.0-0.dll is not found. I tried to register it and got an error.
I just downloaded Portable Gimp 2.2.11 (and I've also had this same problem with the same version of the installed gimp...)
I can create a new file or edit and already existing jpg/png/gif, etc... I save it as an xcf then I try to save it as a jpg or png and the save dialog just stops working. Both the cancel and the "x" don't work. It just sits there like it forgot what it was doing. I don't get any error messages.
I can still do things in the rest of the program (even save it again as an xcf), but the save dialog just hangs out doing nothing. And I can't save anything other than an xcf.
So, what are the chances of a portable GimpShop version?

I know this is a Known Issue, but when I run the std download of portable Gimp, and get the intl.dll not found error. I downloaded the Experimental file, and it starts to load, but for each plugin that loads, I get the "intl.dll not found" error. It came up at least 20 times.
Anyone know how I can clean my system to get this to work?
This was partly covered already, I just had a little bit to add. First of all I wanted to says thank you to John and all who help. This is a wonderful website with a ton of stuff... Couldn't be happier.
Everytime I run Portable Gimp, I get a .gtk-bookmarks and a .fonts.cache file added to "My Documents" And after I have a opened up a picture. I get a .thumbnails folder. Just wondering if anyone else was experiancing this as well and wondering about a possible fix
