KeePass: Auto-Type with different browsers

Submitted by dieter haller on February 24, 2010 - 10:00am

I use keepass for my privat and other password-save. I also use different browsers (IE,FF, Chrome) in different environments. Now I want to use Auto-Type to fill UID/PW fields within the browsers.
With one configuration, it works well for FF and Chrome. When I apply the Auto-Type sequence to IE, the password filed is filled, but obviously the inserted pw is not correct. When I insert the PW with copy and paste (out of keepass) it works well.
What is the problem / solution?

Problem with ClamWin and Thumb Drive

Submitted by Cameraguy on February 19, 2010 - 5:15pm

Several weeks ago, I used ClamWin on a thumb drive to check a computer hard drive for suspected viruses. After noting several instances, I terminated the virus check and shut off the computer.

Now my thumb drive will no longer work in any machine. It is not recognized and I cannot get the activity light (for lack of a better term) to glow. I've even attempted to use Windows Manage fuction and format the drive to no avail.

ClamWin detects XenonPortable as Trojan...!

Submitted by eeroxasjr on February 19, 2010 - 4:18am

Hello, I don't know if someone besides me has noticed, but ClamWin DETECTED Xenon (another portable app) as a trojan.. I'll post the report some other time.. For now, can someone please enlighten me on this one? Thanks! More power to PortableApps!

And yes... I've read a report that a ClamWin (NOT a portable app) detected the XenonPortable installer as having a Trojan.. I'm talking about BOTH ClamWin and Xenon as portable apps above...

Sorry, I'm no expert.. I just want to know why, I love learning something new. Please be patient! :S

I would like to know, how can I protect my pendrive from virus, worms, malwares, etc.
I use my Portable in College, Work, my girlsfriend home...
and i'm would like to ask for some way to protect it, for example, some sofwtare "write protect" that don't allow any program of damned virus to write in my portable USB, or some kind of "USB firewall protect" that would have the same function...
thx in advanced ^^

ClamWin: ClamAV main.cvd Update [FYI] 02/15/10

Just a note:
The main.cvd for ClamAV/Win/portable is updating from

51 to 52

If you have high speed access the most efficient way to do the update is to directly download the file from here:

http://www.clamav.net/
[see link for "main.cvd ver. 52 released on 15 Feb 2010 09:54 :0500"]
after deleting your current main.cvd

If you allow it to update itself you will get a
55 MB main.cld instead of a nice compact 22 MB main.cvd

don't forget to delete your current daily.cld also if you use this method, the new daily.cvd is only 224kb

Remember:
