fresh install of 1.1.11, I've adjusted just 10 hotkeys which are essential for me -
1, quit - q
2, very short jump forward/backward - left/right arrow keys
3, short jump fwd/bckwd - up/down keys
4, moderate jump fwd/bckwd - PgUp/PgDown

now, bear with me, these are working:
q, down, left, PgUp, PgDown

these are not working:
right, up

I see no way to fix it, pretty annoying, makes me want to switch back to smplayer where everything worked and it had subtitle downloader.. just playback was a bit buggy...

I can't find at the vlc website a reason why vlc 1.1.12 isn't going to be released for windows.

Has anyone picked up clue?

No matter what I do, I can't change the interface language. It just stuck in English. Any idea? I must add that VLC works properly on USB stick but not when it's installed on PC(W7). Of course, it's not installed in Program Files folder.

After downloading the zip version of FFmpeg 0.6.2, the content should be extracted to a folder called FFmpeg. This folder can be replaced with the folder FFmpeg, which already exists in X:\PortableApps\AudacityPortable\App. To note however is, that this exchange only should be performed for Audacity 1.3.13 or later.

Using the auto update in Portableapps.com Suite 2 Beta 5 Pre 2 I get an attempt to download then a dialog box stating that the file is invalid.
Downloading and installing manually from the link on the VLC page on portableapps.com works fine though.

Is there a way to isolate just the Guitar or pluck it out ?
Or is the a different program anyone suggests ?
I have seen it done but not sure how, I read the tuts and things at audacity and wiki, but not a lot there.
You can hear examples of isolated guitar or vocals or whatever you want at youtube.

Hi everybody.
I have a little problem with the latest version of VLC Portable.

I try to convert some videos with it but it tells me everytime that it cannot find audio codec mp4a (which is MPEG 4 Audio in the settings-window).

Sometimes I get a different message:

main error: Failed to create audio filter
stream_out_transcode error: Failed to find conversion filter for resampling
stream_out_transcode error: cannot create audio chain
main error: cannot create packetizer output (mp4a)

The exe file for installing VLC 1.1.9 is corrupt. The download is only 450 KB instead of the usual 21 MB.

i've only used it to 're-encode' 320kbps mp3s to 192kbps mp3s. when it does, the ID3 tags of the created files are in chinese or something. i'm looking for a setting for this somewhere but haven't found one that affects this behavior. My language is set to english in Cdex.
