As we know, VLC is both for Windows and Mac users, it's works so fantastic!

I just changed computers at work and am now running into crashes whenever I try and access the playlist function on VLC. I click on the playlist button and immediately get the following:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Runtime Error!

Program E:\PortableApps\VLCPortable\APP\vlc\vlc.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.

I wish you will make audacity 1.3.x version/s portable, Even if its still in beta.

The version currently avalible (1.2.6) is extremely old and i really need some of the newer features...

I just noticed that when watching a DVD, a folder named dvdcss is created in %APPDATA% and it's not removed when closing the player. I use VLC Portable 0.9.8a.

the problem: i choosed VLC to play my music because there is a mono option (i have my reasons hehehe), but if i select the mono with the music playing, it crash! if paused it dont crash... this is only with me?

other: the mono option is not a real mono... in the settings you select the base to the mono and there is the left, right, center, etc to choose as base for mono... there is a real mono feature in this player? it is VERY boring listen only one audio channel ¬¬

I have a copy of Audacity installed on my pc. But it will not record from the Web. I think that this has something to do with the sound drivers that are installed on my pc.

My questions is: Is it likely that I would have more success using Audacity portable installed on a flashdrive or CD?

Is there a way to program all my video's to automatically open using my VLC Portable Video Player? I would rather have this occur instead of seaching for the VLC player for each video I do during my presentation. Thanks in advance.

Vista refuses to remember VLC Portable as a program for filetypes. All other PortableApps work. Has anyone else had this problem?

Can I setup VLC to remember the last scene I stopped at and when I launch the file again - continue from there?

Hi, has anyone tried recording text "readings" from OmniPage -- I have OmniPage 16 standard, and I'd like to record "readings" from a number of text/Word documents as audio files. Have an Acer 5520 notebook -- not sure if Audacity can record from this, and not sure how to check.

Any suggestions?
