can you Please add this feature easily into next VLCport. version?

Submitted by luminous on May 29, 2009 - 3:19am

I wish I could watch my DVDs (and any other video format) mirrored, for some of them I have watched often and everything looks the same. I would like to view the picture mirrored. I see that VLC portable can slow down and speed up DVDs with ease, so why not add this feature? Please. Also, if it can be done, could you reverse/mirror also the sound output? so it comes from the right instead of left and vice versa?
I am left handed and like to see things from a different view sometimes. Wink

VLC Portable 0.9.9 - no video

Submitted by tedkord on May 28, 2009 - 9:18pm

I'm using the new 0.9.9 VLC portable, and any video source I try to play shows no video, only plays the audio. I'm talking DVDs, .avi (xvid)files, .mpeg files. If I launch the VLC app directly, it works. But if I launch VLCPortable, no video.

I re-D/Led it and installed it to my flash drive again, but the same result. No video, no how. Am I missing some setting? Thanks.

VLC: help a gruftie with stream pls

Submitted by ottosykora on May 10, 2009 - 8:17am

Somehow I understand that with the VLC I could save some internet radio bradcast.
But after days of trying and search for some helpfiiles, I have to ask some experts on this.

OK, I have the VLCportbale on my stick. I can listen to the internet radios I like, but when I want save such stream, nothing works. I could not find any suitable documentation so far.

So what is the procedure for this? Select stream, then enter the inpput (web in this case) then select where it should go (file)

But then it tells me that the address if the internet radio is wrong, the file is wrong etc.

Audacity: Cant export FLAC files?

Submitted by Warhawk on May 9, 2009 - 4:50pm

Ok, so I edited a song and tried to export it from flac, to flac or mp3.
It starts to export, but just freezes, says it has like an hour to go and stays on the 1st loading bar and doesn't do anything...
Nothing works, I don't know if it's just plain impossible to do or if I'm doing something wrong.

Can someone help?

Just tried it again, and it has an error message saying that it can't export it...

VLC: multi media player for Win98se

Submitted by cnxgpptbap on May 6, 2009 - 3:16pm

I want a multi media player for Win98se (e.g. can play mpg, avi, rmvb, flv, etc).
I have try MPlayer_Portable_1.0_RC2 and VLC_Portable_0.8.6i find from here, the requirements said they can run in Win98, but both not work in my system.

MPlayer_Portable_1.0_RC2 return:
[
Warning
MPUI will not run properly on Win9x systems. Continue anyway ?
]
If continue, it cannot work properly.

VLC_Portable_0.8.6i return:
[
wxWidgets Fatal Error
This program uses Unicode but is not using unicows.dll
correctly and so cannot work under current operating system.

VLC's compatibility

VLC media player is a highly portable multimedia player for various audio and video formats (MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, DivX, mp3, ogg, ...) as well as DVDs, VCDs, and various streaming protocols.
If your DVD or videos can't support by VLC Player, you can use this Total Media Converter(only Mac version), converter your videos to an adaptive format that compatible with VLC Player, such as MP4, AVI, MP3, etc. Also you can use iDVD to creat your videos.

As we know, VLC is both for Windows and Mac users, it's works so fantastic!

I just changed computers at work and am now running into crashes whenever I try and access the playlist function on VLC. I click on the playlist button and immediately get the following:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Runtime Error!

Program E:\PortableApps\VLCPortable\APP\vlc\vlc.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
