I wish to uninstall VLC player from my U3 thumb drive. I do not see any Uninstall Icon on the drive as mentioned in the support documentation. How do I remove VLC? I used version 4.42.0.0 available from portableapps.com/u3

I've been using my version of Audacity Portable on the same machine the last couple of days, and everytime I start it, it comes up with the "Audacity First Run" window where I specify the language. Also, when I go to export to MP3 format, I have to tell it again where the .dll file is. Any ideas?

I'm using a computer with Vista Business on it, if that matters.

Hello to everyone:

I have downloaded and placed LAME MP3 encoder library on the right folder and I have successfully coded a .uip file into MP3 128 kbps file, just as I wanted from the beginning.

My problem is now that I cannot set up audacity so that it creates an MP3 file with a determined bitrate (different from 128 kbps) as I wish.

How to set audacity up to get an MP3 with 256 kbps instead of 128 kbps as it generates by default? How to configure the parameters of the MP3 output file?

Hi, I was looking at the documentation with VLC on streaming but I cant seem to get it work. Does anyone know how to successfully stream with VLC/ use as a media server?

Is there a way how to change VLC's icon? Cause it's kind of obvious i'm running application i shouldn't with that orange cone on tray...

The subject line is the message I receive when trying to install VLC Portable. Same thing whether I try through 'Install a New App" on the Portable Apps menu or if I double-click the executable directly. Now what?

I am trying to use VLC's stream recording capability.

Facts:

• I have a HTTP style proxy I am behind (SERVERNAME:8080)
• The stream I want to record is a mms:*.asx format.
• I am trying to ultimately make a DVD of a number of these streams

Is VLC capable of streaming behind a proxy?

Any suggestions on other portable or non-portable solutions?
