Hi, I was wondering who I would contact to get permission to use VLC Portable in a firefox extension I'm making? I won't be altering the player in any way, only redistributing it with the extension.

I had to rip a movie trailer to post for a promotion at work and tried to use this guide:

When using VLC portable, it crashes no matter what video codec was selected.

I then installed VLC using their local-installer, and it also crashed using mp1v as they suggested (just for reference in this post.) I then selected encoding using mp2v and it worked. So I tried VLC portable with mp2v and it also crashed. I then assumed that VLC portable has a ripping issue and may be looking for libraries (?) just a theory.

I click on the download button, a page opens and it reads done but nothing else happens. The page is blank. Help?

I have next problem when trying to run VLC with wine in Suse 10.1:

Saving playlist in XSPF format stores the absolute file paths by default in VLC. To make it portable, I have created my XSPF playlist with relative paths including only the filename itself between the <location> tags as the playlist file is in the very same directory as the media files. The validator at http://validator.xspf.org/ said it's OK, but VLC gives the error message:

Unable to open 'video001.avi'

I'm using VLC as my default media player when downloading Streamed video. Is it possible (maybe via an add-in) to record what's being displayed, a bit like Tivo/Sky+ features?.

How am I meant to find this when it's in Chinese?!

I just recently updated my Foxytunes Plugin (now using v 2.9.6) for Firefox Portable (v 2.0.0.3)so I can use the controls. I was wondering if anyone has had success getting this to work. I followed the directions given to setup and when I look at the Dox box it opens it shows the following:

and may be very slow or crash. This is not a bug in libavcodec,
but in the compiler. Do not report crashes to FFmpeg developers.

This is a minor issue.

When ever i try and use Audacity I get an error saying that the editing the registry has been disabled by an administrator. In future versions could registry editing be removed?

when i dounload a file i cannot ofen it .
the icon look like a text file.
