I need help. I'm trying to set up a way to set the path for the programs, and set /P looks good, but it requires that commandline extensions are enabled, and it's nowhere near a given that a Windows box will have them enabled. How would I enable extensions while the batch file is being run, and return the status to what it was when it terminates?

What's the Status on musikCube Portable?

Submitted by Patrick Patience on October 24, 2007 - 6:06pm

I was curious what the development status on musikCube was. I think it's a great media player, and PortableApps.com could use something a little more advanced in the way of libraries than VLC Media Player. John, you said you do have permission do work make up a portable version of Sunbird today or yesterday, but I know you have a lot to do, so I'm not expecting it any time soon.

Registry keys are not being imported by launcher-Please help...

Yeah, my launcher for Project64 has a flaw to it... one of the .reg files are not being imported, however the other 2 .reg files are being imported into the registry. The 3rd .reg file (the one that is not being imported), if I manually import it, after I launch P64 Portable (the data of the 3rd .reg file is not brought into use until I begin emulation), the settings are retained and after P64 Portable is closed, the Registry keys that are supposed to be brought into the 3rd .reg file (The NRage keys) are cleaned up and brought into the 3rd .reg file...

LyX and MiKTeX

Submitted by aehrlich on October 23, 2007 - 8:24am

Hello guys and/or girls.
Excuse my bad English, but I am not a native english speaker nor a native german speaker.
I had read a lot of threads about the wish to get a portable MiKTeX and/or LyX.
Well I programmed some useful things, better known as LyXPortable.exe (and MOPortable.bat and MPMPortable.bat, which are also exe-Files, but renamed to bat-Files).

Any idea how to call UPX recursively?

Submitted by Klonk on October 23, 2007 - 2:39am

Hi everyone,
any ideas how to achieve that task?

It seems that UPX does not have a commandline switch to do that (At least I didn't find it).
Then I tried to get a (recursive) list of *.dll and *.exe files (with DIR) but struggled to get it working in an universal plattform independant way (To later call UPX with each item of the list.)

Any ideas?
