could anyone tell me how to upgrade from the FFP3 RC2?
I've noticed abundance of messages here with a similar title.
Well, someone on IRC mentioned coding a script to install Flush, I mean, Flash to FireFox Portable.
EDITI made a package. It is in my download directory
@PTMB: I'd like to see your script. I sent you my contact info. But, alas, I will lack the ability to reply until Monday.
Here's the updated code:
Menu, Tray, NoStandard Menu, Tray, Add, Exit Flash Installer, turnoff Gosub, startagreement
Scenario:
Someone stole your USB thumbdrive, which contain some sensitive data, including some passwords and/or session informations. The thief could then access some of your accounts you previously logged in.
Solution:
The default Firefox's behavior is insecure for a roaming profile like the one used in Firefox Portable. Here are my recommendations:
I have a U3 version on my Sandisk flash drive. I want to upgrade it and also be able to launch it from the U3 launchpad?
How do I do this?
Hi All,
Since FF3 came out, I've been tinkering with settings and extensions till I was happy with FF3 using portableapps. Since I am now ready to install FF3 on my desktop, is there a way to take the customizations I've worked on in FF3 portable apps and transfer them to FF3 on my desktop without starting over and dl'ing all those extension and customizations all over again?
Thanks in advance,
Al
I'm having trouble adding the flash extension here.
Hi,
I have installed the latest download of PFF3 and when I visit my internet mail (privately hosted) with an expired self-signed certificate I can't access the site. I get an alert with a cryptic (ie programmer message) and an OK button, but no option to force the site to load.
This was the behaviour I experience during the FF3 Betas.
Is there some way to enable the FF3 behaviour?
I looked through a few pages of forum postings to see if anyone else needed help with this but didn't find anything, which makes me think I must be a real slow learner. Anyway, I've installed PFF3 on a thumbdrive and it launches just fine. But it doesn't show my fav-o-rite bookmarks, etc.
OK...so I downloaded and installed Firefox 3 Portable and everything is working great except one little thing.
Whenever I go to Google Docs, as the page finishes loading I receive a modal dialog box that says "the page at http://docs.google.com says: a". Actually, this consistently only happens the first time I load the page. On subsequent reloads it may or may not display.
On a non-portable installation of Firefox 3, I do not receive this.
Any ideas?

I am curious how to successfully sync my Firefox Portable with Google Gears (Use Google Docs) to a Mac so that I can use it on a MCT in my patrol car which does not have internet access... I love Google Docs and was hoping there was a way to make this process seemless. I would also like to be able to Sync my Firefox Portable to a Windows XP machine at the station along with the Mac at home...
Is this possible or am I asking too much!
Thanks in advance for the great program!!!
