Remove firefox portable update

Submitted by tinyang on June 18, 2012 - 4:33pm

Hi all. I had 3.6.28 running with a plugin I use, and somehow it ended up installing the update to firefox 12 which is a problem because my plugin does not work with that version. Can someone please explain how to uninstall the FF 12 update? I looked in my add/remove programs and there was no item in the list for uninstall. Thanks.

Flash bug on Firefox 13 (and Chrome 19) ?

Submitted by mxnerd on June 16, 2012 - 2:56pm

Found FF 13 portable has difficulty loading Flash pages.

Like http://ria.sprint.com/ria/pages/index.jsp?ms=4G&INTNAV=ATG:HE:4G

The middle portion of web pages that's based on Flash is just not loading and completely blank on Firefox.

Chrome 19 portable will load the page, but you can't click any icon/button on the page.

Flash version is 11.3, don't know it's a browser problem or Flash problem.

FF 13 leaves an empty folder on Local

Submitted by veyselcelik on June 14, 2012 - 11:44am

I've just downloaded FirefoxPortable_13.0_English.paf and install it on a folder on my desktop. I launched FirefoxPortable and then, i closed it. And it left an empty folder here.

C:\Users\Asus\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox

What can be the problem?

I'm using Windows 7 64bit. And I have never installed normal non-portable firefox.

Firefox 13 Portable Fonts

Submitted by DavidTroidl on June 13, 2012 - 3:08pm

Firefox 13 Portable is not displaying fonts from the PortableApps font folder.

I have a local web page using one of those fonts. It displays fine in IE, but not in Firefox. It also appears on Firefox 13 on my home computer.

I also have NexusFont in operation, from my flash drive, and fonts in it are working in IE, but not Firefox Portable.

Other applications on my flash drive can use fonts from both locations, including LibreOffice Writer.

Please help.

Plugin-container freezes FFP 13

Submitted by Rzeznik on June 11, 2012 - 4:56pm

Since I have updated Flash to the latest version (11.3.300), I repeatedly get my browser frozen for around a minute or more, then it warns about some script working too long. When I open System Explorer and stop or restart plugin-container.exe, the browser is brought back to life again - until it stumbles upon another script...

I am not sure whether it's Flash plugin or the way FF 13 handles it - either way, I decided to switch to Chrome until this problem is solved.

I noticed this has happened before to other users, but in previous FF version:
