Enigmail issues with TB Portable 2.0.0.16

Submitted by JP_Cda on August 11, 2008 - 10:12pm

Anyone else having issues with their Enigmail after updating to TB Portable ver. 2.0.0.16?

For some reason, I'm getting continuous error messages that Enigmail is failing to initialize when trying to run anything that requires Enigmail after I updated to 2.0.0.16.

Currently, I'm running it within the following environment:

1. Portable USB Drive (Western Digital 160GB) on Win XP SP3, via the Portable Apps launcher.

2. TB Portable is ver. 2.0.0.16, with GPG for TB Portable ver. 1.4.9 (I originally had 1.4.7, but upgraded as I suspected this was the issue).

Profile has gone in TB, but still is present in the TB folder - how to connect/install it again?

Hi All,

I have a problem with my TB.
I have lost in my TB Portable my profile with all accounts info, mails etc.
But I found all of them in a folder on my portable hard disk.

How can I reconnect/instal/rebuild/reassign my configuration with my TB?

Thanks & Regards

Junk Email

Submitted by ggrosser on August 4, 2008 - 3:06am

I am having a small issue with TBP ver. 2.0.0.16.

For some reason I can't get TBP to actually put junk email in the Junk email folder. It isn't having a problem marking which emails are junk because it always shows them with the little "Fire" symbol, and has the box at the top of the email that says "Not Junk" and you could click it if needed.

I can manually move the emails to the Junk folder, but for some reason, it doesn't automatically place them in there, so when I open my email, or it refreshes it places them in my main Inbox.

Thunderbird Problem: getting email - connection timeout

Submitted by portableuser1 on August 2, 2008 - 3:19pm

The PC version of thunderbird does not time out while retrieving email, but the portable version does.

Another user had reported the same problem.

This problem occurs not just on my machine or my network but for several of my friends and other networks. So it has to do with thunderbird portable.

I did some search and found that there is a way to increase connection time out time, but this is not available in the portable version.

Thunderbird Portable is awesome!

Usually, people only post when they have a problem. This time I just wanted to say that Thunderbird Portable is awesome! So far I have not had any problems with it after installing it three weeks ago. Keep up the good work! It is the perfect solution for people on the go. Now they just need to make a Thunderbird Webmail version! haha

Thanks,
