Thunderbird Portable

Hi,
I've been a user of portableapps for about 3 years and never had a problem with any of the software; in fact it's been absolutely lifesaving for me.

What happens is that i was just now trying to get TB portable to work on my new tablet pc and it gives a message like: "couldn't initialize browser's security component. Most likely cause is problems with the files in your browser profile's directory..."

Setting up Thunderbird Portable for the first time, i've got 2 Gmail accounts, i've got them set up as they should be (use standard TB at home) but the connection keeps timing out. never makes it to ask for a password or anything, so i don't know what's wrong...

when using Thunderbird portable I have the same messages listed more than once.
Also, some messages are on top of others making it impossible to read.

This only happens on my Dell laptop with USB 1.0. On all the other computers I use it displays correctly.

Any advice?

Hallo, how I can tell Thunderbird Portable to open links in Firefox Portable? How to force Thunderbird to handle "http" with an application I wish to use instead of system default one (if I do not want to change system settings)?

I get the blue screen of death when I try to use Thunderbird Portable on my Virtual Windows XP Machine. It flashes by too quickly before reboot to actually see what the message is (although those messages are notoriously unhelpful).

Any ideas?

i want to change my profile path from the standard directory to a specific directory on network drive. How and wehere do i change this ???

having used THUNDERBIRD standard installation for almost two
years now, plenty of emails have accumulated, some folders
were created, and some adjustments were made to make it works
the way i thought it should. a few add-ons were added, too.

and once it did that, to my satisfaction, most things were just
'forgotten' - it worked the way i wanted it, most of the times.

now, for the next year, i will be on extended travel, and in
many places, i might not even have a laptop along.

I'm running the newest version of Thunderbird Portable with Webmail extensions to manage several accounts. Yesterday I was having problems with Thunderbird (was closing unexpectedly, etc) so I decided to do a new reinstall.

When I was trying to delete the folder from my thumb drive, I kept getting an error - couldn't delete prefs-4.js.

I ended up reinstalling over the old folder. Now I'm trying to backup my profile (simply copy to and with MozBackup) and I keep getting the same error - cannot copy prefs-4.js - file is corrupt etc.

My Portable Thunderbird (2.0.0.14) starts up with the grey screen containing: ----^

I need to move the attachment pane to the top of the viewer window

i had this in TB but cannot get it happening in TBP

I know it to do with folder locations - can someone assist?
