Edit: Since nobody is noticing this issue, and tecnicly, this is not tecnical support, but a change for an app, I decided to move it.

I think Thunderbird's launcher was based off of FireFox, as I have found a reference to firefox. Look at the readme in ThunderbirdPortable\Data\plugins. It says,

Place Firefox plugins in this directory (Flash, Shockwave, etc)

Edit: Also, the readme in ThunderbirdPortable\Data\gpg wasnt very useful.

portable thunderbird update failure

Submitted by b.ilaria on April 29, 2008 - 6:33am

Hello,

today, 29 of April 2008, I received a notification for an update and as usual I accepted. Since then, when I try to start my PT from the USB key I get this message:

"The Application of DLL E:\PrtableThunderbird\App\thunderbird\xpcom_core.dll is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette."

To me, this message is incomprehensible... can anyone tell me how to restore Thunderbird without loosing all my e-mails?

Thank you for any suggestion and help!
Cheers

Problem with Thunderbird Portable 2.0.0.12

Submitted by eltonbrad on April 27, 2008 - 6:02am

Hi all,

I've got a bit of a problem with TB Portable. After TB checks for emails on the server, I look through them and start moving them into folders that I had made for them. No matter whether I click and drag an email or right-click and go to Move To, it moves the email, but when I click on another email, TB freezes and then one of those annoying Microsoft messages come up telling you there has been an error and to either send or don't send error report.

Hello,

I'm VANC56 and new to this forum, hopefully that my request is right on place.
Additionally I would like to thank you very much for that great portable application platform!
I'm very happy about it!

Well, thirst of all some technical dates for you:

- Operating System: VISTA Home Premium 32
- Software installed on OS: Thunderbird and Firefox. Always up-to-date.
- Portable Device: SanDisk Cruzer Titanium USB Flash Drive 4 GB.
- Software installed on SanDisk Cruzer: PortableApps.com Suite.

moving TB portable from PC to PC

Submitted by sgp on April 23, 2008 - 2:12pm

I use TB portable installed on my laptop in C:\ThunderbirdPortable. Sometimes I need a different laptop, so I copy C:\ThunderbirdPortable to a USB disk and then from the USB disk to another laptop (same path), so I can run TBP there.

Each time I do this, TBP rebuilds the folder index for all folders. Why? What could be different between the two laptops - from TBP's point of view - since paths and file dates stay the same?

Enigmail Error

Submitted by MrMoods on April 19, 2008 - 10:13pm

Hi!

I'm using "Enigmail 0.95.6" with "Thunderbird Portable 2.0.0.12". When I send an eMail containing some text wich is longer than 1 line (autowrap) and I sign the message with PGP, the signature will get "BAD".

Someone who knows this problem?
