Thunderbird Portable

I recently installed TB portable on a USB drive. I set it up to connect to a GMail account. When I start TB portable, it tries to connect to pop.gmail.com, but the connection always times out. When I use the normal versin of TB installed on my laptop, it connects to GMail without problem. How can I make the connection smoothly with TB portable?

is there any way to get hyperlinks in tbird portable to open in ff portable, instead of the pc's default browser?

We are trying to launch PortableApps suit (specifically Mozila Thunderbird e-mail version 2.0.0.6) from USB thumb drive over Juniper's SSL VPN. We connect through SSL VPN utilizing Juniper's Secure Virtual Workspace (SVW) mode (SVW creates a protected workspace on the user's desktop, encrypts information that applications write to disk and then destroys all information pertaining to itself).

My Add-ons manager tell me "lightning-0.7-tb-win.xpi not compatible with Tunderbird 2.0.0.6

Can't I install lightning-0.7-tb-win.xpi in my portable Tunderbird application?

I have set up several RSS feeds on my Thunderbird Portable. While the headlines download without a problem, clicking on or opening an article shows neither the summary nor the article. This happens irrespective of the source of the feed. Is this a known problem?

Does anyone have the last working versions of these please?

Hi, recently I try Thunderbird Portable, it's great but I have a problem with some attachments envoys from Outlook Express. It's doesn't appear, but if I "save as" the mail, and open the saved mail with O.E. I can see that the attachments are OK. Same mail in the icedove (ex-Thunderbird) of my Debian SID GNU/Linux are OK.

I used Thunderbird at the morning normally.
I opened now at afternoon and seems I don't have any account on Thunderbird portable, which asks me creating a new account.
All the folders of profile folders seem ok.

What can I do??

I would like to download some themes for my Portable Apps. Thunderbird, but I have version 1.5.0.13. The two themes I wanted only work for 2.0 and 2.0.0. I was wondering whether if I downloaded the newest 2.0.0.6 version from here, would it support those two themes?

If not; could I download the normal Thunderbird 2.0 version in place of the Portable Apps. version? If I replaced the Portable Apps. version with the normal version, would I still keep all of my emails?

I have portableapps along with portabletor. Firefox works fine with Tor, but Thunderbird does not. In TB under Options| Advanced, there is no "Network & Disk Space" tab. The tab is called "Offline & Disk Space" and thus there is no way to set the connection settings to manual proxy configuration. Is there a work-around for this?
