Thunderbird Portable

I run my Thunderbird on a 4GB USB Drive. I just use it as a way to transport my emails. The problem I had is that all of a sudden Inbox dissapeared. What I did 1st was to check if the USED SPACE on the drive changed, and It didnt. I just have 2 folders where I save mails. One is "Inbox" and the other is "Sent".

Inbox's size was 520 MB
Sent's size was (and still is) 250 MB

CANT READ EMAIL MESSAGES THEY OPEN IN PROPERTIES FORMAT.
I READ FAQ AND FOUND PREVIOUS POSTS DATING BACK OVER A YEAR AGO.
BUT THEY HAD NO ANSWERS,CAN ANYONE HELP.

I have managed so fat to install the enigmail and gpg portable with it, make the config to suit my needs and import my pgp leys etc.

The dir where now the keyfiles and importanat the conf file is placed by the installation procedure is :

....\PortableApps\ThunderbirdPortable\Data\gpg

wokrs OK, but does anybody know where this path is defined and if it is possible to change it?
Probably defined by one of the script files, but which one to search for?

Can you revisit the creation of multiple profiles in TBP? I specifically use several email accounts for work. Rapid access to multiple email accounts w/o launching several TBP launchers is a definite help.

I read the forum under U3- TBP. J. Haller states that not much demand has shown for it.

The "ini" sections have failed me to no avail. Yes, I read why too...per J. Haller. I am not a programmer either..nor do i wish to engage in this endeavor. I will leave it to the technology wizards who created these awesome capabilities.

There was this really nice portable Thunderbird version with integrated PGP. What happened to it?
What was the last stable version?

I use lists to mail to groups of people, but need to limit size of lists to prevent my ISP refusing the mail thinking it is spam when it is not.

Is there a way for Thunderbird portable to report how many contacts in a list to save me counting or is there somewhere I can post to the developers to request this as a feature.

Where can I find how to synchronize my Thunderbird on PC with Thunderbird Portable and vice versa without copying the Thunderbird profiles from one appl to another?

I am travelling and my Cruzer Thunderbird has worked perfectly many times in internet cafés. Then I bought a notebook with Vista loaded and, when I tried to run Thunderbird from my Cruzer, it told me;

"Thunderbird cannot be started. You may wish to re-install it to fix this issue. (Error: The program could not be found: /Thunderbird/Thunderbird.exe".

I've set my TBP to work with exchange it initially pulled down all of the folders, but no e-mail in any of those folders. It did get mail, however only what was in the inbox the first time I ran it. Now, I get no new e-mail from the inbox or any from the other folders. Our exchange server is set to use IMAP so I don't get what is going on.

Is it only in my version or all versions that doesn't allow the sufix -p to start Thunderbird with the profile manager option?

For me, this command changes anything.
