Thunderbird Portable

Red Error Message at bottom of Thunderbird Screen

Submitted by SteveRobinson on October 8, 2007 - 2:23pm

Hi,
I've been using Thunderbird Portable for about six months and really dont know how I lived without it but:
Having filled my favorite memory stick up I have copied the whole thing across to a bigger one and now thunderbird comes up with a bottom panel with:

menu id="offlineMenuItem" insertafter="trashMenuSeparator" label="&offlineMenu.label;" accesskey="&offlineMenu
And the view panel no longer wraps properly.

Any suggestions what I have done wrong?

I'm in XP at the moment but have never had any problems even with Vista

Thanks

Lightning

And as the person insert informatio to the task the other one receives updates...

Uh-oh. Thunderbird Portable crashing/terminating on start-up

Submitted by tmaibaum on October 1, 2007 - 8:54pm

Hello,

after using Thunderbird Portable under XP Professional for a few month without any problems, I ran into some SERIOUS trouble now. I had one obsolete POP account that I deleted the usual way (Tools > Account settings > Remove account). I'm not sure this is the cause of the problem, but I have no idea what else could be.

After that, TP refused to start again. I.e. it starts showing the splash screen and terminates after one or two seconds without even showing the main window. It also disappears from the Taskmanager.

Updating Thunderbird Portable

Submitted by Emilv on September 30, 2007 - 12:18pm

I'm using portable version 1.5.0.10 and just got an update notice for version 1.5.0.13. A check on the Portable Apps web site has no version 1.5.0.x on it, let alone the 1.5.0.13.

It's not clear to me, if I can update online or must update via a portableapps download. If the latter, is there somewhere to get the portable version?

Thanks, Emil...
