Pleas help me what to do, to work this problem around.

Thank you.

Portable OpenOffice.org 2.0.3 in german language now available

Submitted by andreasma on July 3, 2006 - 1:10pm

Hello,

today we have announced a new version of POOo in german language. This is transformed out of the original OOo-2.0.3-de. It uses the original POOo-Files from PortableApps for its start and configuration. You find the download at:
ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/misc/ooodev/portableooo/
There are two versions: one with python-support and another without it.

Running OO on W98SE

Submitted by jwr on June 28, 2006 - 1:48pm

Hi,
I have the portable version of Open Office on a USB Flash Drive. It will work great on an XP machine, but when I take it to work and use it on a Windows 98SE machine (full updated) -- the top menu bar (file, edit...etc) will not appear. Everything else does appear, but not the top menu bar.

I gave the same Flash USB drive to a co-worker --using an XP machine -- and it worked perfect.

How can I fix this so it works on my W98SE machine?

Thanks in advance

Submitted by MaverikCH on June 12, 2006 - 6:09am

Hi there

Got something for the App-Develepoer:

I decompressed the zip file to a usershare in my office. it is pointed to a normal network share like \\server\directory\. The Share is set hidden in the windows explorer = no Network-Device-Letter (i.e. L:) set on it.

PortabelOpenoffice gives me after Openoffice Splashscreen an Error Message: Openoffice.org 2.0 - The application could not be started. an inernal error occured (OK button).

On Network shares with an device Letter it runs normal.

may you fix that? because we got a hidden network share routet to "my documents" atm i've

U3 install

Submitted by phantomdaz on June 3, 2006 - 10:58pm

Hello all
I am a U3 Newbie and have a question
I downloaded the OOo nprogram from the U3 site from the U# smart disk. It went through all steps but when it finished, it said there was an error and it was not installed. I tried two times and the same result.

My question, if I down load the version from this site and install it on the U#, will I have any problems with running it if I do not let the U3 download and install it?
Thanks in advance for any help
