Hello, does anyone know if Skype will be updated to the latest version? I'm surprised it doesn't have it's own support page or forum. Thanks

I have the portable spanish version.

If you don't use sounds or messages in the tray icon the program don't tell you about not taking screenshots.

And don't tell the reason.

There was an error or you did not select a valid area

I don't know what to do.

My System: Win XP Prof.

Problem: i always have to start the .exe-file twice! Means, when i double-click (or click once on the link on my desktop) the little PortableApps window appears and closes again, but nothing else happens! Only when i launch a second time, the program opens fully and from then on, when i close and reopen it, no problems. Until i reboot Windows. Then again, need to launch it twice.

I install 3.0.21.1000 with PortableApps
but If I close the Maxthon, the cache (C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temp\MaxthonPortableTemp\Maxthon3Cache\Temp\Webkit\Cache) will auto deleted.
How can I save Cache?

There is an issue not so clear for me about this app.

In the bottom of this page (https://portableapps.com/apps/utilities/spydllremover_portable) there is the following information:

"SpyDLLRemover has been repackaged with permission of Rootkit Analytics".

BUT the site of Rootkit Analytics has an "Important Announcement" in the fontpage:

StreamArmor and SpyDLLRemover are NOT associated with RootkitAnalytics by any means. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, we had to let go of the corresponding volunteer and remove all his contributions.

I´m confused. Is this a reliable app???

If GnuCash is started it always comes up in english
although the language of the Windows version (Windows XP)
is different. It can be solved by using the "language"
setting in file "GnuCashPortableSettings.ini".

GnuCash Portable 2.4.4 Rev 2 doesn't recognize
the "PerlPath" - variable in file "GnuCashPortable.ini".
Consequently finance::quote does not work if the
Perl interpreter is not installed in the default path.
This is normally the case if a portable version of
Perl is used.
(Also if a wrong setting for "GnuCashExecutable" is
given it doesn't lead to malfunction.)

Hello there,

I was trying to see why I couldn't eject my usb stick from a computer and while I thought it was the win annoying bug it seems that the culprit is Spybot S&D portable build...

What happened: I did run the software from the stick, ordered an update which did a restart of the program and it seems it did integrate the "immunization" into the explorer.

I checked that using process explorer which showed me that explorer.exe is using spybot dll from the portable app folder. I will try later to see if I can un-register the dll from the computer an let you know.

I've read the above information. but it doesn't work.

I have to run Google Chrome Portable from a "network" drive. It gets half-way started, but does not proceed.

Looking in Task Manager, I see GoogleChromePortable.exe running, but no chrome.exe processes running. In the Chrome UI, I see a what looks like an "about:blank" page (without "about:blank" actually being in the URL field), but the mouse pointer is a wait-cursor (the hourglass) in the content area.

If I enter an URL in the URL field, it vanishes when I press enter, and the content area still looks like about:blank, with a wait-cursor.
