I had 12 torrents completely downloaded and seeding. when i updated qbittorrent from 3.3.1 to 3.3.3 some of the torrents files are being redownloaded. the files are in the previously downloaded folder, and forcing recheck is also not working.

e.g. i had downloaded the martian movie, watched it and it is still in the downloaded folder. the torrent for that file is in qbittorrent but it is being redownloaded. i have also cheked the set download location and it is as it should be.

I use Opera 12.17 (portable only) and have not taken any of the Opera versions of 15 or greater which are offered by Apps/Check For Updates in the platform (12.2-7601).

As the subject says, I've been unable to download updated versions of many portable apps as the anti-virus blocks it. The list of apps affected is:
- Foxit Portable
- Geany Portable
- Google Chrome Portable
- Peazip Portable

Is there something that can be done about this given that in my case, disabling the anti-virus is not an option?

since having registered AquaSnap I have the problem, that updating via the PortableApps Platform Updater causes a loss of license information.

Every time I have updated AquaSnap I have to reenter my license key!

Is there a chance to stop this?

Anybody having trouble with installing the portable version of process monitor? I downloaded it from portableapps.com, but when I run the install it is unable to download Error: File Not Found (404)

I've just installed jPortable (Version 8u73 (32-bit) for Windows), for the first time, to work with LibreOffice Base. All is good, but...

...a folder named .oracle_jre_usage is being created in the root of User folder on the host machine. This folder contains a benign TIMESTAMP file which is, in many ways, quite useful for knowing when (and by what) jre has been deployed - but I don't want it left on other machines.

Solved: CppCheck portable v1.72 does not work. (See solution down below)

When executing CppcheckPortable.exe: The PortableApps splash screen is opening and closing. That's it.

When executing \App\Cppcheck\cppcheckgui.exe I'm getting this error message (German):
Der Prozedureinsprungpunkt "ucrtbase.getenv" wurde in der DLL "api-ms-win-crt-environment-l1-1-0.dll" nicht gefunden.

English translation:
Procedure jump point "ucrtbase.getenv" not found in "api-ms-win-crt-environment-l1-1-0.dll"

I gave XMPlay a try.

Here's how it went:

I installed XMPlay 3.8.2 via Portable Apps Platform 12.2, and then ran it.

It loaded seemingly fine.

I dragged and dropped a 20MB MP3 file onto it, and it played great without any issues.

I then configured the app through its settings dialog box.

I then closed XMPlay.

I then reloaded XMPlay, and was surprised to see the name of that previous MP3 file in the playlist.

I gave Songbird Portable a try.

Once you get past all the configuration screens, it goes to the main Songbird UI.

It immediately loads a webpage that no longer exists, and instead shows a parking page with a bunch of advertisements. Without doing an in-depth analysis of the page, I can say pages like these often contain security and/or privacy issues.

I gave CoolPlayer+ v2.19.4 a try.

1. Added it to the PA Platform v12.2.
2. Ran CoolPlayer+ from within the PA Platform.
3. Went to Settings within CoolPlayer+.
4. Surprised to see "Remember Playlist" and "Remember Last Played" both enabled in the settings.
5. Unchecked both items in #4.
6. Closed Settings.
7. Closed CoolPlayer+.
8. Opened CoolPlayer+.
9. Now the skin has been changed to something completely different.
10. Pressing on the change skin button in the new skin results in the error "No Skin File Selected".
