Translators list

I am collected (from locale files and website) all the Platform translators since version 1.5 and newer in different language sections: http://pastebin.com/9nQdm0R3. Maybe useful for "Our Team" page?

Update. Would be better if in "Our Team" page use the alphabetically list with a link to languages view.

For some translators are not the forum profile links, impossible to find.
Dont know about Greek translators Yannis Papatzikos, Nik A and Portuguese translator Ricardo Moreira.

How to advise PortableApps.com staff of new versions of software that are out?

PortableApps does a good job with updating their portable versions to the latest available but sometimes things fall through the cracks.

For example, when I run CintaNotes, FileZilla, and FreeFileSync, they are all telling me that there are new versions available currently and that I should download these.

I was wondering if there was an effective and polite way to let the people at PortableApps.com know that there is a new version of a software available as I am sure it's difficult for them to keep an eye out for all updates available to dozens of individual programs.

Do Portable Apps work on Chromebooks? I know that the following work on Chromebooks: mice, keyboards and USB drives work on Chromebooks. But I was really excited when I found Portable Apps, because, I wanted to move away from the Microsoft PC and associated software constraints imposed by MS. I don't want to spend $200-$300 or more on a Chromebook only to find out that PortableApps won't work. I am ready to cut the cord with Microsoft and PC hardware.

Pale Moon vs Firefox Speed Comparison (Cyberfox, too)... Firefox is faster

We've had a few requests over the years to make Pale Moon available. Pale Moon attempts to achieve speed by sacrificing some important bits like accessibility, but fails to achieve this goal by pinning to the outdated ESR branch of Firefox. The result is that Pale Moon is slower than Firefox.

As an example, here is a comparison of the current releases of each, Pale Moon Portable 24.4 vs Firefox Portable 28.0. It's a fresh install of each before each test is run. Here are the results for three popular browser benchmarks:

How to start a program maximized with parameters?

Submitted by Peter8087 on March 23, 2014 - 4:33pm

I want to make a program to start maximized when i launch it and i add this line in AppNamePortable.ini file:
AdditionalParameters=/maximized
But it doesn't work.

On the installed version of the program if i create a shortcut of the .exe file and from Properties set it to run in maximized window it works, but for portable launcher doesn't work.

I hope someone can help me with this!
