I am trying to put several portable apps menus on my installation and noticed that every menu shows every other menu. I tried putting all menu variations inside the PortableAppsMenu folder only to discover that it might lead to several menus using same files and folders with different contents.
Trying to put the menu's one folder deeper doesn't work.
What executable can I try that will be ignored by other menu's?
i've noticed a problem when going between my home computer and school computer. when i'm on my home computer, my usb drive is G:, but at school it's F:. i installed apps on my home computer, so they went to drive G:, but when i go to school i can't load any of my apps unless i change all the properties to drive F:. is there any way around that.
Thought this might be of interest, especially since [John?] was working on a portable version of VirtualBox:

Hi everybody!!! um,, this is my first post here so be gentle
anyway um i was surfing the web one day and i stumbled upon an interesting topic. anyway from what i understood you could supposedly "virus proof" your usb drive by putting a read only and "undeletable?" copy of autorun.inf file in the root directory of your USB drive. the reason is so that the virus cant write its own copy of autorun.inf and start executing its files or whatever. anyway im a complete noob when it comes to computer stuff so if this post doesnt make sense the my bad
Hi i am planning to buy a USB flash stick and wondered if the speeds were ok not just for portable apps but other stuff here are the specs
# Read Speed: 10.5MB/S (70X)
# Write speed: 7.24MB/s (48X)
It is quite cheap so i am planning to buy it ( $25 )
Thanks in advance
So now that Official apps are being signed, what is the best way to actually check these signatures? The only app I have found thus far is a command line tool from Microsoft called SigCheck. It gets the job done, but isn't exactly user friendly. So what have other people been using to check the signatures?
i'm in a travelling time

really makes me feel safe... was some time that i was looking to find a portable solution to keep my data safe
anyway
i set up a truecrypt volume on my usb key
where i put a portableapps suite adds some more of available usefull apps
now i'm testing it
and here's the problem:
many times i can't not remove my usb key
