7-ZipPortable SendTo Addon

Submitted by wraithdu on December 19, 2007 - 10:28am

Current version: 1.0.0.14

I wrote this because I miss having the 7-Zip context menu to quickly create archives while running portably. It supports just the ZIP and 7Z formats, but you can choose the compression level, whether to add or update files, and to use solid mode or not for 7z archives.

Configure your path to 7z.exe (the 7-Zip commandline utility) in the 7Zip.ini file. You can specify either a full or relative path. The relative path uses the drive letter the launcher resides on, so the rest of the path must be specified.

The SWORD Project is an OpenSource Bible program that has many features, including panel view, devotionals, commentaries, and multiple Bible versions. (More Information)

Yes, yes, I know. Zach Thibeau made this awhile ago, but this one uses much less writing on the drive. It also has the latest version of the launcher. Please, let me know if there are any problems.

OpenOffice.org Portable 2.3.1 Revision 2 Pre-Release Updater Test

I've posted an updater for OpenOffice.org Portable 2.3.1 that updates the included launcher to fix a bug. The current launcher has a bug that causes it to overwrite the Common.xcu file on launch which is used to save personal settings (Undo levels, etc). Please test this fix out and post your findings.

LimeWire Portable version 1.0.0.2

Submitted by phaze424 on December 14, 2007 - 4:56pm

I saw a number of topics on the App Request board requesting LimeWire portable, so here it is. Obviously, it won't run properly on a computer without the JRE installed, because LimeWire is coded entirely in Java. It uses the PortableApps directory structure. The launcher is made in AutoIt3 instead of NSIS, because I just plain like it better. You MUST read readme.txt in the LimeWirePortable directory, because this download doesn't include LimeWire (I wanted to include LimeWire Pro users without breaking any laws.) The readme file will explain what to do.

Simplified Chinese Development Test: Mozilla Firefox, Portable Edition 2.0.0.11

I've posted a quick test of the launcher and installer being built using Simplified Chinese for folks to test. It's the first test of a non-ASCII build and I want to ensure the character encodings are set properly. As NSIS is non-Unicode, the installer and launcher's text will only show up correctly if you're using Windows configured to the correct locale. For other users, it will show up as random-looking characters.

If some of our Simplified Chinese users could give this a try and report your results, it would be much appreciated.
