PortableApps.com Platform

The autostart feature is a usefull thing, but I need an advanced autostart that can start a program, when the PortableApps is run, only on a specific PC.

I want to make a programm autostart only on a specific list of pcs (1 or more), but not on all of the pcs that I use with my usb.

Can this be done? Is there an alternative available (other than the existing autostart)?

In these days i'm experiencing some strange errors i never saw;
2 examples:
1)If i launch the portableapps "Start.exe" i have this error:

If i launch it as administrator it works, but i don't think that's normal...

Hi,

In previous versions there used to be a set of apps bundled along with the platform. Is this no longer available? This was very useful to me whenever I wanted to reformat my USB; now I have to manually download each and every app

When I run Start.exe after booting into WinPe4 (the latest version of Windows PE, modeled after the Windows 8 platform), the PortableApps interface comes up, but I get the following error panel:

Title: "PortableApps.com Platform"
Body: "Class not registered. ClassID:
(56FDF344-FD6D-11D0-958A-006097C9A090)."

When I close the error panel, PortableApps stays up but seems crippled.
There are no other applications installed, just the PortableApps platform.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try to start my PA platform but it got stopped by Sophos. It reported that that it had a suspicious behavior, HIPS/RemFileMod-002 on the portbableappsplatform.exe, then it moved it to quarantine.I am using a computer at a different the library. The usual library I use has Mcafee any never has a problem. I use AVG free at home and it is fine. I have used this library before but a different computer and it was fine. I have the option in Sophos to authorize the file but not sure.

I am not able to update starting from 11.1. I currently have 11.0.1.

Updater terminated at 97% and nothing happens.

When I download and run installer it tells me "Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file".

Did the delta updates feature not work out?

Before the last update, app updates were a lot smaller, and I remember this feature being hyped up a little. Now after the 11.1 update, I see we're back to downloading the full app packages. Or maybe it's just me?

I'd love to launch applications from the menu as the help files (*. chm) or Java Archive File Format (*. jar)

This is possible in ASuite, why not in PortableApps?

John, thanks for the list of apps found by PA. However, I'm still a bit shaky on how to determine if something found is a current legit app available by the app installer and those that were installed/copied there by me from some other source.

Is this list truly every app found under the /PortableApps/ folder? If so, could there be some way of indicating those apps that are being checked for updates and those that aren't?
