PortableApps.com Platform

_To replicate the problem do the following:_
1. Start PortableApps.com Platform
2. Click Options (or open another "child window" like the About-splash).
3. Click on something else (e.g. the Windows desktop)

This loss of focus causes PortableApps.com Platform to minimize along with its "child window". After this I can't restore it.

I'm running version 11.2 as Admin under Windows 7 (6.1) [Build: 7601].

I use PA as a way to always "bring my own computer with me", regardless of what computer I'm sitting in front of. As long as I have my phone, I can just jack it in and have all my software neatly available.

Now, to have "my computer" with me, it would be nice to also be able to save web links in PA, preferably in the form of some kind of (multi-level) menu, much like the one that pops up when you click Apps, probably best located among the various document type buttons. Clicking in the menu would launch a browser with the URL.

Actually, to do this, i need an external program called "Direct folders pro".
Why use another software, when we can directly place our preferred links to files and folders in P.A ?

I've been using PA for a while and it just keeps getting better, thanks guys.

One feature I've been wishing for though is to have the menu pop up in the proper corner. For example, I keep my Taskbar along the left side of the screen (every vertical pixel is precious), which puts the tray in the lower-left corner, but the PA menu still pops up in the lower right, on the opposite side of the screen. Same problem with the taskbar along the top, where PA should be at the top-right corner.

I have been unable to get Portable Apps to work more than once. I install it on a flash drive (3 different ones so far) and everything works fine until I eject it and plug it back in. Then I either get "The Portableappsplatform.exe is not a valid Portableapps program" or "the version of this file is not compatiable with the version of Windows you're running. Check to see if you need an x86(32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version...

Unfortunately, I have searched in vain for the program PicPick in the platform via Apps-> Get more Apps ... -> Recently Updated. Also about the link http://sourceforge.net/projects/portableapps/files/ I could not find the program PicPick. Is there a special reason for this disappearing of PicPick?

I had an old version (v10) on a smaller flash drive,
I wanted to update to a larger drive.
I copied every thing over to new drive then ran portable apps 11.2 to install/update it on same drive.
Now the PA will not auto-start when drive is plugged in.
Autorun is in the root and contains the following
" [Autorun]
Icon=PortableApps\PortableApps.com\App\Graphics\usb.ico
Label=PortableApps.com"

What if anything is the problem and how do I fix it.

I love the idea of the portable apps platform, but honestly, after three days of using it and trying to get it to work I've had a horrible experience . It's just been a horrible buggy mess. The platform crashes constantly, apps wont load, I've had to re-install like 5 times, sometimes I had to install then reformat and re-install because it didn't install correctly. Basically everything that could go wrong has. So I was wondering if this is a typical experience for this app or is there something I'm doing horribly wrong.

Longtime user of [illegal suite], I am switching back to my old PortableApps due to many facts, mainly the very bad communication with customers, very slow updates and for a 6 month break from Jun to Nov 12, where the project was dead and unreachable for any answers. Actual problem: Having installed PortableApps.Platform on different machines, I recognized that on my main test system I got a very nasty problem, both with V11 and V12B:
