PortableApps.com Platform

Hi there,
I have the following problem with downloading the updates for portable applications with the official updater:

- I get the SendRequest download error every time for every application
- the link that is given in the error message window works just fine when re-typed in the browser (FF and IE)
- the problem has been there for ... well, almost the beginning - the update worked only for a short some time when it was still new in the beta version of the platform, but not in all versions after that (I completely removed the platform and reinstalled, but no improvement)

I sometimes load as many as four USB drives at a time for purposes of backups, upgrades, etc. Horizontal Position evidently has three options, left, center or right and with three options I end up with two menus that are in the same position.

Clearly this is not a big deal and it is a minor thing to move those two. If there is something already in existence that addresses this it would be nice to know.

Infinit loop of try to connect on the website, and witch portableappsupdate.exe

portableappsupdate.exe stay in the taskmanager, even if portableapps is closed.

For the moment to reach portableapps website, i have to go windows 7 x64 safemode with internet.

I try 11.0 beta 1 beta 2, 10.2 stable = same problem.

Even the portableappsupdater try to donload updates, it have made several try to download some update. I have to press cancel button.

Did i am the only one with that problem.

however there are some suggestions that could make the app updater more functional ..

- fold/unfold for each category (to be remembered by the platform)
- a global fold/unfold
- a show/hide deta/dev
- an active search box

I am using PortableFileAssociator since years when I started to use PortableApps on my local machine.

I have associate the file types properly. But on Windows 7's file manager (I don't know for other versions of Windows), I have a problem. I will explain directly with an example:

Is it possible to make a more flatter theme in the next version similar to Windows 8? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_8

Is there a way to keep platform on top until you click on something else.

I.E. Open more than one app

Now, when you click on an app, the platform hides immediately.
I would like the option to keep it on top until I actually switch views so that I can open more than one app, clicking on the opened program, like it does automatically anyway(when platform is shown and you click away from it - it hides).

How can I use the portableApps Installer as a company. What's the price and (if it's not free) how do I have to proceed. I found no information on the website

It may be a false positive, but when I try and download PortableApps.com_Platform_Setup_10.1.2.exe I get Trojan/Win32.rozena.qek being detected from our PaloAlto firewalls.

On 10/1/2012, I had edited this post to say that "This no longer appears to be a problem."
However, since then, it has recurred a number of times.

It seems to happen most often with larger downloads.

I tried temporarily turning off my PC's security software before an update, but that didn't help.

Has anyone else seen this problem?
