PortableApps.com Platform

Hello again,

I'm presently using the 2.0 beta 5 portable menu and I would like to prevent my students from changing any of the show hide menu options.

Theme changes would be ok.

Are there any .ini options I can use?...I found some ini options and was able to keep the menu visible at all times.

It seems that you can change the menu name from PortableApps.com to something else but I can't find any documentation on the subject.

I will be teaching classes in GIMP & OO this year and I would like to customize some of the USB flash drives.

When I plug in the thumb drive that I have the PortableApps suite loaded on, I get the usual "Auto Run" Windows Dialogue box, which opens the initial Primary Folder of the "Drive."

I just updated to Platform 1.6.1.0 from I believe 1.5.2.0 and I now have a redundant button on my taskbar. I wish to put my thumb drive back the previous version where I only had the icon in the systray and not taking up space in the taskbar. Is there a way to do this without having to redo the whole thumbdrive?

Win 7 doesn't like any of the old DOS stuff. Is this related?

I am running Windows 7 on a laptop with a screen resolution of 1920x120.
When launching PortableApps, it looks like the standard background graphic is too small to fill up the space that PA wants to use, almost like it can't match the screen resolution somehow (i'd attach a jpg if i could). How can I fix this?

The question is quite simple: I use the platform on computers that are "stuck" (probably this is the wrong word, maybe it is "locked") in various ways, and among them are the icons of the taskbar. There is no way the platform also appear on the taskbar as a button? (Sorry for bad English, I use google translator ...:])

I've been thinkin', and actually tryin' to daydream a great platform that everybody can be happy to have. Why not try a portable start up menu platform that you can actually create a customized folder for an application that you can download at? But it needed to have a primary source folder that will hold all the portable application.

For ex.: ("_" sign should be optional)

I think I found a bug in the PA Launcher V2.0.

Description:
When you try to generate a portable app launcher you get the notification that the launcher was not generated. In the launcher generator's log file you get the following text in the last line:

Error in script "G:\WinBox\PortableApps.com\PortableApps.comLauncher\Other\Source\PortableApps.comLauncher.nsi" on line 54 -- aborting creation process

This happens when you choose a too long term with too much blanks in the term for the variable 'name' under section [Details] in App\AppInfo\appinfo.ini
