PortableApps.com Platform

I have tried change the icon of Startportableapps.exe to a personal icon, made by me, but when i change the starter dont run, no error messages, my icon have the same parameters (256x256 rgb/a, 48x48 rgb/a, 32x32 rgb/a, 16x16 rgb/a and 32x32 256, 16x16 256)and i rename the icon to Startportableapps.
I am using Iconworkshop, and too tried Executable File Icons Changer.The icon change, but dont run. Why?

I have two monitors, and my taskbar is on the secondary monitor. clicking on portable apps taskbar icon, portable apps shows up on the primary monitor.

Delphi fully supports dual monitor setups so it should be no problem to fix this!

Example:

Tried several times to download suite version 1.5.2 using different browsers and from different sources. Get the NSIS error message every time. Any help appreciated.

Im afraid I havent been following the forums for quite a while now (reduced net access) and am a bit confunded on the situation on mods with the new version recently out, I installed, ages ago, a mod, think it was r15 or something, and now wondering if I install the new PAM version will it break mods or overwrite folder settings I had? my base PAM install is 1.0

In the platform, the left has a list of folders. I think that there should be folders to sort the applications.

I had a quick look at the PortableApps Menu source this weekend.

As I have many applications that need to be stored in folders outside the PA structure I am currently thinking about

a) writing a tool for creating launchers automatically or
b) enhancing your Menu to support Windows lnk files.

Font used by Portable Apps GUI doesn't seem to be scalable.
The GUI looks namely strange on displays with resolution 1680x1050 WSXGA
with DPI set to 120.
I gues DPI120 is non-standard setting.

Each application position in the main menu is visible partially only.
Half of theirs size.
Font increased with DPI120 but field size of menu positions stay unchanged
for the standard DPI.

I could attach a screenshot to give better feeling of this issue.
But not possible to attach a file here.

I installed the 1.5.2 platform, to test it. The first thing I saw is that the icons appear larger, but with slices cut away from down and from right, while in 1.1 vesion, they were smaller and appeared entirely.

Am running PortableApps Suite on a 500GB Iomega eGo USB drive - (Operating System XP Pro). I bought the full edition of Folderlock 6.2.1 to encrypt data. I have tried various ways to get around my System admin restrictions but cannot run it as admin from work lap top. - even tried making it a Portable App with the compactor but failed miserably.

The PortableApps menu never shows up when I click the taskbar icon. Neither mouse keys work... Reinstalling the software (1.5.2) did not help. I am running Windows Vista SP1 on a 4gb DELL laptop computer. The same version runs OK on a Windows XP SP3 computer. I have been using PortableApps for many years...
