I just noticed that Windows isn't remembering the "always show" state I set for the PAM icon. I figured out that PAM is deleting its entry from the tray MRU on close for stealth reasons, but frankly I'd like a way to turn that off. This is particularly annoying in Windows 7 as even if I specifically set the icon to always show, it gets hidden again the next time I start the Platform.

would it be possible to use the home and end keys in the launcher menu to get to the top and bottom listing of programs faster? i currently use my scroll wheel or pg up/down, but would like to jump to the top and bottom if at all possible!

am running the latest version.
used to be that when i pressed win + p, which pops up the menu, i could then press d for documents, m for music, etc.
when i press d,m,p,... with the new menu, it does nothing. is this a setting in the ini that needs to be added, or a program bug?

I propose an app to replace StartPortableApps.exe.

When loaded, this app would present a dialog allowing you to select a "profile" or add or delete profiles.

I don't know if you have given much thought to profiles in the platform yet John, so it may change some of this idea when you speak on it.

Hello and sorry for my poor english!

I have installed the new version of PortableApps on my USB-stick over an older version. Everything looks wonderful - just the (internal) Backup doesn not work anymore. On two computers (one with XP and one with Vista) there is an error a few moments after the start of the Backup.

Possibly there is something corrupt after an update?

Update: I deleted the whole folder and made a new installation, but the problem is still there? Does anybode else have the same problems?

upcoming 2.0 getting better and better, and more configurable, is there
still a point for MOD R34, but cosmetics?

I suggest the following features for the next version:

1. A settings menu - PortableApps has a few settings that are edited through an ini file it will be nicer to have a setttings menu for them.

2. Select applications for auto languages switching - PortableApps version 1.5 added support for switching of application languages according to the menu language.
I want to be able to select applications that will not switch instead of only behing able to disable it completely.

anyone know if there is one.
