PortableApps.com Platform

Firstly, let me point out that I'm using English Language version. The internal backup function is not working on 2 seperate devices on which I have PortableApps installed. I've tried typing in a path, I've tried browsing directly to the path, I've tried editing BOTH places where PortableAppsBackup.ini is stored, all to no avail. Any suggestions? Is there anything I can do to assist in solving this problem?

On some PCs with multiple monitors, the rename window will not show properly, leaving you with the menu stuck until you hit enter to close it. I've posted a quick fix that addresses the issue. You can download it here:

You can place this in your X:\PortableApps\PortableApps.com folder replacing the one that is already there.

I love the new scrolling feature - one click and one page scrolled. This is a huge improvement. I have exactly two pages worth of portable apps in use and now access to the second part of the list is a single quick click - THANK YOU!

Request - maybe a selection of two or three menu heights, or a the ability to size the menu.

Why did you bump the version number? I was under the impression the "problem with the suite packages" was related to the downloads, not the app itself. If you're just re-uploading the same build (or at least one with no new code), why would you change the version number?

Or am I misunderstanding?

Recently I asked question about inability to download 1.5.1 (Platform only)
I combined it with other request. My apology

Since then 1.5.2 was released and again "Platform only" is not available

I found that only "Light Suite" can be downloads from SourceForge.net

I never had any issues with any downloads from the site.
I tried clicking any other Application - no problems, all can be downloaded
Is this known temporary hiccup ?

but say Standard 46MB package can be downloaded.

I am experiencing some troubles after installation of 1.5 menu.
I am suspecting it despite it sounds weird.

I worked with Some applications from my USB drive and that disconnected it.

Then I found that all my hard drives have their normal icons but drive C has kinda notepad icon ????.

Drive by itself works fine.

In the mouse settings, Windows has an option to specify how many lines to scroll at a time when using the mouse wheel. Any possibility the PAP could respect this setting? Right now it only scrolls one line regardless of the Windows setting.

I have found a problem with the eject button feature on PA 1.5. It no longer functions when plugged into my work computer which is Win XP Pro SP2. The eject button simply closes the Portable Apps menu - it makes no attempt to safely remove hardware as it did on the previous version of Portable Apps. However, the eject feature does work on PA 1.5 when plugged into my home computer which is Win XP Home SP3. Not sure if anyone else has experienced this issue or is aware of a solution.

It seems that you have taken a more ambitious approach to releases and timelines in the last few weeks.
While it is exciting, it's also kind of confusing, with the release numbering changes and introduction of some of the features that people have been asking for.
I've also seen posts that look ahead several versions, such as this one:

(Although that one refers to the numbering and features you had previously thought of doing, not what you will be.)

I just got the Portable Apps Platform ver 1.5 and I really like it. I just started playing around with the wallpaper switching ability, but I found one downfall. Although there is the ability to have 2 different wallpapers (one for normal and wide screens), there is no way to have multiple wallpapers that will be used based on the current screen resolution, as far as I know (correct me if I'm wrong). This is a pretty big problem for me (and others, I'm sure), since I visit quite a few different computers, with about 4 or 5 different resolution settings.
