change sequence of programs to be launched

Submitted by Hilmar99 on January 4, 2009 - 7:08am

Is there any way to change the sequence of the listed programs to be launched in the PortableApps.com Platform.

Default is in alphabetical order. I would like to have the most used ones first.
Or can the displayed names of the programs be changed, so I could do it like this.

(01)FirefoxPortable
(02)ThunderbirdPortable
(03)FileZillaPortable
(04)7-ZipPortable
....etc

Any suggestions?
Thanks
Hilmar

OfficeScan by MicroTrend detects a virus in the apps I've downloaded recently

Submitted by n8var on December 26, 2008 - 7:41am

This may be something about MicroTrend that's trying to be smart about detecting unsuspecting executables but I want to be sure. Here are the results I get from recent downloads of portable apps. Some of the apps I've tried downloading are: BonKEnc, PorkerTH, Pidgen, Cornice, Frets On Fire,

The detected malware/virus is called PAK_Generic.001

Aliases: Generic, Mal/Packer, W32/Sality.M, Win32/Puper.8ke!Trojan, Win32/Sality!generic

Is this MicroTrend trying to be over aggresive to keep me safe?

music, and pictures location fine for xp, but not vista

Submitted by inlandsurfer1 on December 19, 2008 - 12:57am

My start menu can access my pictures and music fine when they are placed in the documents folder (like xp) but not when I try to run it from my vista computer it doesnt work. My guess is the menu is tring to access the folder in a location where it doesnt exist. How do I change the folder locations?

why I have old versions of included programs

Submitted by lllllllll on December 18, 2008 - 12:01pm

I had pasuite 1.0
In november 2008 I had downloaded PASuite 1.1 (more than 100mb) and see there are old apps (oo2.4 no 3.0 ff2.0 no 3.0 ...)
I now have downloaded pasuite 1.1 (more than 100mb) and learn there are again old versions!!!! (oo2.4 no 3.0 ff2.0 no 3.0 ...)
I want ff3.05 and oo3.0 and so on..
What is going wrong?
Have I download them separately?
