PortableApps.com Platform

I love portable apps, I really do. But how can we ever expect this to take off with the public when autolaunching is such a pain? Can we really expect people to know to click into my computer, and then into the drive letter, EACH time they want to launch the software? To me, this is a massive Achilles Heal.

I know that PAM sets the location for where program's are installed to but how about where programs are being installed from?

Is it possible to create folders in PortableApps.com menu to sort the various shortcuts for example by subject (Internet, Productivity, Games etc. ..). Otherwise would it be possible to add this option in a future version.

I hope this is a simple problem with a simple solution. I have PortableApps running and I open the menu and click on "Backup" and then "Backup Files" but nothing happens. It's almost like the backup has been disabled. Any suggestions?

I have installed a new device of Portableapps, and I see that autorun.inf disappears, and ico in hard drive doesnt show...

Could somebody post de the autorun.inf, please?

Is there any way to change the sequence of the listed programs to be launched in the PortableApps.com Platform.

Default is in alphabetical order. I would like to have the most used ones first.
Or can the displayed names of the programs be changed, so I could do it like this.

(01)FirefoxPortable
(02)ThunderbirdPortable
(03)FileZillaPortable
(04)7-ZipPortable
....etc

Any suggestions?

Are there any Menu PAM Command Line Parameters Switches?

/? does not return any...

i.e. Do not show menu on start.

BYW may be good to have advance forum search features
ie "Exact Match" -Exclude AND OR etc...
I could not find any match or found hundreds of matches...
