In checking Task Manager for running versions of PortableApps I find only the updater is running. This has occurred almost daily over the past two weeks. While not fatal it is frustrating that something that has happened flawlessly over the past years should now be problematic.

Can anyone give me some advice as to how to resolve this issue?

I recall reading that most apps should now install silently when the portableapps platform is running but I notice on initial download and install, the majority of apps still seem to present the MSI dialogues?

Also would it be possible to have a dropdown list of suggested selections e.g. All, Popular?

I tried a couple of different 2tb USB's with no luck. I see the process in task manager and that's it.
Formatted exFAT files system, Win10 pro

Hoping it is something obvious that I'm not seeing??

Troubleshoot that i did - 1) Booted to safe mode but there it was not working, even WIN-ALT-SPACE works but not CTRL-SPACE.
2) Turned off power toys and AHK

System Info- Win ver - 21H2 build 19044.1466
Portable App version - 20.0, it happened with last 3 release too, i just started 3 months ago.

Hi all

We are using portable firefox to login a webapp. We have many users on same computer and they do not want to keep their login informations (username and password). But firefox is always asking to save it and user may select "Yes" accidentially.

How can we disable or enable Password Saving?

It would be nice to see the release date of portable apps in the update dialog.

I prefer to wait a few weeks before an update, as considerated more stable. We know that rev2 rev3 can happen, thats not a problem as errors/missing are a natural thing. I wont comply about that, portable apps are free, based on volunteers and I am very happy about these ppl, they are doing an amazing job.

I just would like to see the date an update was released.

I have been receiving this error (or similar one) since I have been using the PortableAppsPlatform so for over 2 years. It shows up randomly. Sometimes it shows up with each startup, sometimes it doesn't show up at all. I use Win7x64. Nothing particular working in the background that would cause the issue. I have limited amount of programs working the background.

According to PortableApps.com Updater - Your Apps Are Up To Date:

"When a new security fix for your browser is released or a new feature in your favorite game is available, the PortableApps.com Updater will automatically let you know."

Windows has a light/dark mode setting:

However, PortableApps.com Platform doesn't check it and instead forces to choose a manual light/dark theme:

Can you add a setting of Default OS light/dark?

when running PortableApps updater it fails with InvalidZipFilePossibleNoConnectionOrFirewall error.
Eager understanding to what URL/DNS/Hostname and port/protocol the updater function is connecting.
Looking forward to response
