Menu Source

Submitted by A_Coder on February 19, 2007 - 8:47pm

Forgive me if I'm opening up old wounds, but I was wondering where the source for the menu could be found. I've read though the previous discussions, and didn't find anything, and a quick search over the download and spec. page didn't show and source files or links. Any help in finding this would be great.

Fade In/Out effect for PortableAppsMenu

Submitted by dj-ad on February 18, 2007 - 11:00am

Hello all !

I have a suggestion for the PortableAppsMenu application.
Is it possible to add an option to desactivate the Fade In/Out effect that shows up the menu when clicking on the icon in the systray ?

My computer is slightly slow and it's really fading in & out so slowly, it's a bit hard to use the menu for me.
For those who hates visual effects (like me) it could be a great stuff too.

Your software is a huge one, thanks a lot for developping it!!!

PortableAppsMenu.exe generates error

Submitted by tdebie on February 15, 2007 - 5:35am

Today I started to use this cool set of lightweight portable applications.

Howeverr, when I tried to start the 'StartPortableApps.exe' (located in the root of my USB flash drive, I got the following application error 'Exception EOSError in module PortableAppsMenu.exe at 0000DA65. System error. Code: 87. The parameter is incorrect.'

Is there anybody experiencing the same problems and do any of you what may cause this and how it can be solved?

FYI: all the applications work if I run them via their own program folder (e.g. FirefoxPortable\FirefoxPortable.exe).

Installing with Existing Applications

I was looking at installing PAM, but already have some apps installed (Firefox and XAMPP Lite from here - and RoboForm). How do I install PAM and bring in my current apps without damaging them?

Maybe I didn't get enough sleep last night, but I could not find this info on the support page nor by searching or browsing this forum.

Thanks,
Tom

I should add - I am looking at installing the Base Edition - as there are just a couple more apps I would want to install.
