Long loading times and crashes on startup

Is there anything that can be done about the sometimes 5+min long start up time of portable apps application? Also, sometimes it likes to crash and not load at all. I've tried multiple USB devices and computers and cant seem to get a stable install. I could be missing something. Been searching the forums and haven't found anything yet to solve my issue.

Hello,

I am wondering the option get more apps the does not seem to be a search function is that correct ?
Also what ever option By title or By category I take the loading is painfully slow min 45 sec sometimes longer.

Is there a way to speed it up I gues its the loading from the repository that is taking so long but there are no options to get a different local repo ?

Finding a way to let the Apps clean up after a crash without having to start them again

I run into this problem quite often since my pc will crash or the apps wont shut down properly when i shut down my pc.
i read on the support page (https://portableapps.com/support/portable_app#didnotcloseproperly) that there is no easy way to fix the problem.

Define directories to search for PA apps?

After using the PA apps for over a decade, keeping them updated has become tedious so I decided to finally take a look at the Platform app. But I cannot find anywhere in the config where I can tell it where to look for my Portable Apps.

After reading the support page for it and some other forum posts, I think I have determined that the apps must be in the "PortableApps" sub-directory in the Platform's directory. On a side note, this isn't really made clear anywhere, maybe add a line on the support page.

How to enable multiple users to run the same app simultaneously?

Several users share a Windows 10 PC.
None of us have the Administrator password.
Each user installs PortableApps, allowing them to install whatever apps they want.
Perfect solution! Except when...
User A runs an app then locks the PC or switches user and walks away.
User B attempts to run the same app
User B gets the error message:
"Another instance of (app) is already running. Please close other instances of (app) before launching (app) Portable."

How do we enable multiple users to run the same app simultaneously?

Menu Not Displaying Properly on Startup

[Bug] (Windows 10 Home 64bit v 20H2 b 19042.746 Installed in C:\Users\me\Sync\PortableApps) When Start.exe runs, the menu displays improperly. The window is too short for the list. There's an extra space at the top and items run off the bottom edge and are not visible. The power and close buttons are shifted to the left. The PortableApps.com logo is missing. It stays like this unless I change the theme in the Options dialog. No matter what I change it to, and even if I leave the them unchanged, the menu then displays correctly.
