PortableApps.com Platform

Hi,

I am regularly experience problems with updates.
Majority of updates are processed fine, but some of them behaves like this:
- download starts fine
- download process almost goes to end, indicates 100%, but actual downloaded size is 2-5kbytes smaller than indicated to finish
- download keeps trying, but missing data does not arrive, only doneload speed decreases
- finally it gives up, and says Error: Reget error during the download if xxxx.paf.exe

Repeating the process does not help.
I am using it in Hungarian lang.

Currently I experiencing it with the following apps:

In my flash drive directory, the Start.exe should show the icon like it normally does, but if the folder is in tiles view, it shows the same icon as the portableapps.com folder. It looks right in any other view, but not in tile view.

I want the Menu to stay docked in the upper right corner of my screen. I've placed it here repeatedly, but it seems to float around on the right side at random when i start my machine. Would it be difficult to add an option in Preferences for this, or am I just missing something really obvious here?

I backed up my PortableApps and the program created the following file,
"PortableAppsBackup-2013-09-06-Data.7z".

I restored the backup. The program files are listed in the directory named, "C:\Users\bran\Documents\portApps\PortableApps".

But, not one of the restored apps appear in PortableApps start menu.

How do I find out what I did wrong?

I install all sorts of PortableApps apps in other people's computers. I then update them all the time. I thought about installing the Platform itself and use it's auto-update feature.

But this takes 2 things:

I am requesting that some modification be done to the Control section of the platform's appinfo.ini, and maybe up the version to a minor 3.1 to reflect changes.

As it is right now, for an app that has multiple icons like libre office, we declare it like this which is confusing:
start=app0.exe
start1=app1.exe
name1=Application One
start2=app2.exe
name2=Application Two
extracticon2=app2.exe

I'm not sure if this is a bug or a problem when uninstalling the application. I removed jPortable from my portableapps.com platform a few weeks ago and it is not on my USB drive anywhere however the app updater keeps saying it has an update. I'm wondering if there is a way i can fix it or do i download the update then remove it again?

as I wrote in my other thread, I also have portable apps in my PortableApps directory, which are portable, but do not have the PA structure.
Is there any way to start such an app with paramter? I have one app, which needs to get some information via command line parameter...

Please don't disillusion me by advising to write a batch file to call the app with parameters...

any idea why adding "Rasterbator" (a program that is portable but not part of PortableApps) the Icon of it is not under "Other" but above the Subfolder "Other"

Hoe to reproduce:
- Get Rasterbator.zip
- unzip it into your PortableApps folder in a subfolder "Rasterbator"
- refresh app-icons
- open the "Other" folder in the app menu -> see the icon for Rasterbator above the folder icon
- close "Other" folder -> icons disappears as expected

When i click button "log out" on PA which close PA + eject fladrive i always can see error from windows "flashdrive is busy".

Can you add option to force shutdown all apps which i started from PA? It's solve problem with "busy flashdrive".
