LibreOffice Portable

Hi,

I've tried many times to install Grammalecte extension and I alway got an error "an error occured during file oppening"

I've also tried WittingTools and got almost the same (with a bit more precisions) :
an error occurred during file opening at
C:/cygwin64/home/buildslave/source/libo-core/ucbhelper/source/provider/simpleioerrorrequest.cxx:35"

I had tried on "fresh and still" 24.8.2.4 version, but even a backward to 24.3.2.2 version gave the same.

I see at the Outdated Official Portable Applications thread that you have this notice posted: LibreOffice 24.8.3 [Fresh+Still] (John building...)

As in that thread you said that you were contacting LibreOffice I now assume they have been back in touch with you and explained the roadmap for how to deal with Fresh and Still in the new version numbering scheme. Would you please say what the advice was?

I read a bunch of discussions and tutorials and none fixed my problem.

English (USA) is the selected language, and everything else under "Options -> language settings" seems to be in order OTHER THAN hunspell is missing under "Options -> language settings -> writing aids".

A search for "hunspell" gives many files in \PortableApps\LibreOfficePortablePrevious\App\libreoffice\share\extensions\dict-en. No actual file names with "hunspell", but "hunspell" is in many files there.

If i use the pa.com suite to install libreoffice portable, the dictionaries are not working(i dont remove the extra lang in the setup)

Im using a folder named portables, inside that another folder named portableapps in wich all portableapps arei installed(containing the start portableapps and document folders).

If download and install outside of pa.com suite in the root directory of any drive(ej. c:\libreofficeportable) all dictionaries installed work fine.

You have been listed as building this for ages now. I think you should just abandon the effort, 24.2.7 (Still) is due to be released on 31 October (if they release to schedule), so little point in wasting your further energies on 24.2.6.

The current version of LibreOffice is 24.8.0.
https://portableapps.com/apps/office/libreoffice_portable is stuck at version 24.2.3.
And https://www.libreoffice.org/download/portable-versions/ tells:

No Portable Version (MultilingualStandard) is currently available

and

When LibreOffice has an uninstalled update available it shows an icon of a globe at the top right of the screen to indicate the update is available. When you click on this you are taken to the LibreOffice web site where you will (if you are trusting and innocent) download and install the full version of LibreOffice on the PC you happen to be sitting at.

This icon is visible whether you are running the portable or the original version.

Regarding LibreOffice 24.2.5:

If you look at the LibreOffice download webpage you will notice that LibreOffice Still isn't there any more. I don't know if that situation is temporary or permanent. If I look at the LibreOffice Blog for 24.2.5 for some indication of what is going on then there is only this paragraph on the issue:
