7.0.1 Portable: Options in english at german version (LibreOfficePortable_7.0.1_MultilingualStandard.paf.exe)

Submitted by katermerlin on November 26, 2020 - 8:31am

After installing ver. 7.0.1 I found that most of the option contents are in english instead of german...
Is that a bug or what could I try...

Thanks for answers.

7.0.1 Path for "Temporary Files" cannot be modified

Submitted by Finiderire on November 16, 2020 - 10:08am

Hi,

Just installed Libreoffice portable 7.0.1.

When running it, the Windows "Ransomware Protection" says that soffice.bin requests access to %userprofile%\Documents.
I do not want to do that. I'd rather modify the configuration of LibreOffice. Which turns out to be impossible.

LibreOfficePortable 7.0.0 Partially missing localization

Submitted by gandalfthewhite on August 19, 2020 - 1:11am

LibreOffice Portable has partially missing localization. I'm using Russian locale with LibreOfficePortable_7.0.0_MultilingualStandard portable apps package.
Tested with all applications - Base, Calc, Draw, Impress, Math, Writer. That bug exist for a long time so I decided to report it here.
Here are some Calc screenshots, I marked red wrong (missing localization).
Portable - you can see some non-translated string in File menu, and almost complete non-translated settings.

Strange Behavior In Calc Sheet

Submitted by Motim on August 10, 2020 - 9:49am

Hello,
A certain "Calc" sheet is defined to use certain font and size. In this case its "Tahoma" font, size 12.
However, when I open this sheet and make a new entry, it almost always uses the "Arial" font which is the first in the fonts list , and size 10,
and I have to select the row to correct it.
And another thing, in this "Calc" sheet, two columns are defined as "Currency", and each time I make an entry there I have to click on the currency symbol in the tools bar to enter the currency symbol near the entered number.

Can't recover documents after crash

Submitted by mattbolivia on May 13, 2020 - 12:08pm

After a crash (or windows update reboot), Libreoffice is unable to recover previously open files. It says recover file is corrupted or not found. I have looked in the libreoffice temp folder and confirmed that there are files there, but they have zero size. Has anyone experienced this problem and is there any known fix?

This is using the latest version of windows 10 where Libreoffice is installed on an alternate partition of the main drive (not on a USB stick). The temp folder is on the main C:\ drive partition.

Thank you.

Portable Help files

Submitted by DADSGETNDOWN on May 12, 2020 - 12:49am

I seen one post about the help files, but says to install them on local machine then copy to portable. I don't have it local and don't want to. How do I get the help files and or tutorials if any, to my portable version ? I downloaded the .msi but that's local/windows right?

LibreOffice Strange Behavior

Submitted by Motim on March 13, 2020 - 5:53am

Hello,
Recently noticed strange behavior of "LibreOffice":
Created two 'Calc Spreadsheet' files (with "LibreOffice"). Created, Modified and saved in range of several minutes. However in the explorer folders / files list the time stamps are different. See attached screen shot which contains: 1.Properties of one file. 2. Screen shot two lines from windows file explorer. (I do not see where can I attach the screen shot, please guide me)
"LibreOffice" version 6.4.1.2.
"Office Studet" also installed.
System win 10 1809 x64, time setting is OK.
