I just recently checked my updates and updated Filezilla from v. 3.8.x to the latest, 3.9.0.1. My preferences were to use it in my "default system language", i.e. French, and things worked correctly before the version update. I did the update through the semi-automatic menu option: Check for updates.

Got the following problem:

When I move the Iron folder from one place to an other all extensions get lost, although they are still in the copied folder. I even can't activate them in "Tools > Extensions". It only says: "Boo... You have no extensions :-("!!!

Can anybody reproduce this bug?

If I use the "Check for Updates..." under the Help menu in the program and then download and install the update, will it install the portable version? I'm thinking it will install the 'normal' version and the best way to update would be to download the portable version and copy it over the top of the old version but I want to verify this. Thanks!

I need to point the .purple directory to an encrypted volume (W) since pidgin sores plaintext logs and account passwords in that location.

Using the PURPLEHOME environment variable, I can confirm it is pointing to the correct location, however pidgin ignores it. See following screenshot:

Please fix this issue, and let me know if there is any kind of workaround I can use in the meantime to force pidgin to store its data in a different location, thanks.

I'm a tad annoyed. Updated to 2.10.8 and it shows "connecting" for Facebook chat, but it never fully connects. On the Pidgin website they say "Update: While we still absolutely recommend upgrading to 2.10.8, it has known problems logging into some XMPP servers, including Facebook Chat. We currently believe these servers are non-conforming, but we are working on a fix!" but there haven't been any updates on a fix.

Is there a way to rollback an update?

I've looked for this on the forum and on google but haven't found an answer. Which files need to be moved where?

Is it possible to add option to single-click tray icon to open Pidgin Portable?

I know it is possible to add it to Pidgin after "install", but it would be better to add it to installer, if possible (from technical and legal point of view).

Has anyone every tried adding a textured background to the gtkrc themes in Pidgin?

I've tried researching this topic for sometime, without any luck. I know I'm close, but I'm sure someone has done it already.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi everybody,

I´m using winscp and putty, both as portable version. I use PuTTYPortableLinker.exe so i can run a putty-session out of the opened winscp-session. My problem is, that the putty-session closes if i close the equal tab in winscp. Is there a possibility to let it opened even winscp will be closed?
