today the portable app manager notified me the availability of an upgrade for my portable kitty (to 0.63.1.4). I did it, as I've already done it a lot of times before... and lost all my settings. Very very very bad!

First of all I want you to know I love your software and also I had a backup copy from which I restored my settings (or I'd have really been lost), but this bothered me anyway. I just hope this won't happen again, it's really unfair. Please.

When you try to install Miranda in the Russian language, is only the English and how to do this is unclear. And so continuously. Where these settings? Can I use Miranda in the Russian language from the site developer, but I would like to use your.

Hello. Can not connect to google and other XMPP servers. I receive message "Server does not use any supported authentication method". Other protocols work fine. Version of pidgin - 2.10.9 for Windows, Multilingual. How can I fix it?

As of recent releases, Google Chrome's settings are now locked to a given PC with a generated signature on the settings files. This affects the portable version as you move between PCs either via removable drive or via cloud drive. It also affects the local version if you move your profile as part of restoring a backup from one PC to another or upgrading to a new PC and copying your profile over.

The Enchant spellchecker is saving any unknown dictionary words that are added to the dictionary outside the portable directory. It's placing the added words inside the "Local Settings / AppData" directory for the current user, under the sub-directory "enchant".

I still plug into some XP machines.

Is there anyway that I can have FileZilla ver. 3.9.0.1 or 3.8.x (for my XPs) installed along side the newer FileZilla version that will no longer run on XP?

And if so, is there any way to disable the auto-update on the "XP" version so that it "stays" on my thumb drive?

To be absolutely clear I have no reason to think Filezilla Portable has been directly effected.

That said, starting with 3.9.0.5 Filezilla claims that updates to the next version can not be done automatically and directs users to download the installer from sourceforge... the installer for which is laden with malware and scamware which attempts to trick users into installing it.

I am looking for a solution for a small boot-able image that provides putty or similar software. I would like to boot a small laptop off a thumb drive and only provide telnet software once booted to program routers and switches. Thank you in advance.

FileZillaPortable_3.9.0.2.paf.exe unpacks fine.

Then, upon execution of FileZillaPortable.exe, the splash screen appears as usual, but the GUI does not start. Nor is there any related process shown in the Windows Manager after the splash screen disappears.

Version 3.9.0.1 starts without problems.

Anyone else experiencing the problem?
