Hi, I unintentionally installed Filezilla Portable to my PC when I meant to install it on a flashdrive. How can I uninstall FileZilla 3.7.3 from my computer? I can't find a removal tool or uninstall instructions anywhere. Please help. Thanks! Sdog

Does Pidgin still work? Is anybody still using it? Between all of the possible IM services anymore, Facebook, Google+, and Twitter I thought I would give it a try. Sadly, it fails to connect to any of my services. Is anybody using it for FB chat, or Twitter?

I'd like to make some minor change to make it better. For instance, accept different input parameters and load a session automatically rather open putty, load and open it. These function are included in putty, however, seems not avaliable in portable putty.

When I realized that unencrypted site passwords are a security threat in Filezilla, I decided to get Filezilla portable and always run it from a usb stick. This way, I was hoping, Filezilla would not leave any traces on the computer it's used on.

But I just tried the stick on a different computer and the site information was not there! That made me suspect that the site information is stored on the computer instead of the stick.

So my question is this:

FileZillaPortable\Data\settings\filezilla.xml

Not directly a Pidgin Portable query but I thought I might find others with the same problem - and possibly an answer - here.

I use Purple Twitter with Pidgin Portable and as of about midday yesterday it stopped working. Each time I tried to log in I got an authentication failure. Purple Twitter is properly authorised on my account and I had made no configuration changes.

Now I'm aware that Twitter has made some changes to its security and is possibly making more changes. Has anyone else experienced this problem and, if so, have they found an answer?

The PortableApps Chrome installer by default requires a robust Internet connection to download the actual binaries from google.com.

It used to be the case that if you had the "alternative" standalone installer EXE - don't remember if it was the system-wide or the per-user version - in the same folder as the PA.com installer, the latter would automagically detect the former and go ahead and install even if there were no connection to the Internet available.

Is this functionality is no longer possible?

I think the SshHostKeys are now stored in HKCU\Software\SimonTatham\PuTTY rather than HKCU\Software\FileZillaPo\PuTTY\SshHostKeys & if the connection dialog is cancelled (without accepting the keys) then the file %LOCALAPPDATA%\PUTTY.RND is left behind.

Chrome on my USB stick does not seem to be saving pass words for the sites where I need to. The box is ticked under advanced settings to save the passwords for site.

I wonder if it is saving the passwords to the chrome on C drive and not the USB stick. if so how do I get the passwords saved to the USB stick

Just downloaded and starting using the portable version of FileZilla client.
So far great stuff, but today ran into one problem that I researched , found one solution for, but seems not to solve the problem for me.

I have one site that does auto backup , file names as such...
" .backup.2013-05-04-23-01-12.zip " .
or
" site name.random-suffix "

On my old fpt client, I can see all the files, but with FileZilla I can't = can only see the .htaccess file.

I tried the Menu>Server>(checked)Force Showing Hidden Files

Still can't see them.
