Internet Apps Support

I have followed the guide here: https://portableapps.com/node/6663 to forward port 443 on my router to port 22 of a Fedora Core 6 box running OpenSSH. I am using PuTTY Portable of course to connect to it, and it is working fine as far as ssh goes.

As said in the guide, i have forwarded port 5678 to go down the ssh tunnel and set portable firefox running foxyproxy to use that as a proxy.

This might be a stupid question but I'm pretty new to FTPs and I really like this app. However, I was wondering if there is a way that I could connect to another computer and view it's files using an IP address or computer name...?

hey when i run gaim portable im getting unableo authenticate i have re-installed and entered my password again made sure it was right and im still getting unable to authenticate could some one please help me.

I know this has been discussed in some of the other topics here. Is there anyway that PortableApp PuTTY can be made to utilize other registry locations so that multiple instances of PuTTY can be ran? I looked into some other ways around this problem, like xming and portaPuTTY but I don't want an option that modifies the source code.

is possible to have all history (logs) from gaim (pidgin) on usb disk? i have used normal installation, then i remove it and run portable gaim, but history is always on hard drive :/ using win vista.

Shared libraries must NOT be packed with UPX. Packed libraries can only be used statically, which means that two separate instances of the same library will need to be loaded into RAM, basically defeating the purpose of sharing. Read the UPX docs. This obviously applies to all libraries, but the thread is in the Gaim Portable forum because the plan is to have the GTK+ libraries shared between Gaim and The GIMP (and whatever GTK+-using apps that may become part of all this).

When you select "Add this key to the cache" (or something like that) when using SFTP, it doesn't delete the registry key that putty uses when it saves the key.

Hi, i have a slight problem

whenever i run Gaim on my laptop, i get a message up saying that ZA is encrypting. However about 2/3 seconds afterwards there is a problem with it being forced to close. Any ideas?

If you don't have SSL installed in Windows, Miranda is not able to connect to a SSL-only server, such as the one for GTalk -- the "Use SSL" checkbox is greyed, and a link to download OpenSSL (at http://www.slproweb.com/products/Win32OpenSSL.html) is displayed.
Since we are talking about a PORTABLE setup, is there a "Portable SSL" available that could supply this need? We can't rely on host computers having SSL installed...
