ClamWin outdated

FWIW The current Portable ClamWin download no longer supports virus database updates. According to the update's error msg it's too old.

Reading CVD header (main.cvd): Ignoring mirror 199.184.215.2 (too often connections with outdated version)

ClamWin: Does this look like a False Positive (FileZilla)?

Submitted by joesmith07 on June 6, 2008 - 1:38pm

I just updated my ClamWin and scanned my thumb drive and it found two Trojan's, both of which are in my PortableApps folder. The first "Trojan" found, is probably a false positive (I bet ClamWin doesn't recognize my Nintendo emulator). However, the second one is linked to my FileZilla and it concerns me.

Here's the report:

Scan Started Fri Jun 06 13:12:44 2008
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
G:\PortableApps\Nintendo.win\Nintendo.exe: Trojan.Dropper-6687 FOUND
G:\PortableApps\FileZillaPortable\FileZillaPortable.exe: Trojan.VB-2953 FOUND

Clamwinportable.exe command line

Submitted by GaryLenDavis on June 2, 2008 - 11:48am

Anyone using clamwinportable knows from the menu that you can scan the host computer memory for viruses.
I am using a 3rd party app called "applauncher" that provides command line options.

My question-I want clamwin to automatically scan the host computer memory when I insert my usb. It currently opens on the host, but I manually have to select the option to scan memory.

Can someone please provide me with the command line option to run the scan automatically?

Thanks!

Network portability of ClamWin Portable

Submitted by lwc on May 20, 2008 - 11:28am

When I try to launch ClamWinPortable.exe via \\another-computer, it says I need to configure the settings (if I do so, it saves them in the local %APPDATA% under ".clamwin").

When I copy over to the local computer ClamWinPortable.exe, and create ClamWinPortable.ini with \\ paths, when launching that ClamWinPortable.exe I get an error telling me to re-install.

ClamWin: OpenOffice Portable 2.4 False Positive?

Anyone seeing this? I just scanned my USB flash drive and ClamWin Portable says that my OO 2.4 Portable is infected (I subsequently scanned with Symantec and it says nothing is infected).

ClamWin Portable output:
