MediaInfo Portable 24.06
download initiation gets halted every time

I cannot remove the splash screen on the VLC player.

I have tried the instructions on the link below and have copied the file to the main folder where the VLC executable file is located and it still doesn't work.

I suppose it is a splash screen.
When the program opens It says

Media VLC Player Portable
PortableAppscom / go/ VLCPortable

It disappears after a few seconds, and normally this would not annoy me, but it does in this case because it is superimposed on the video I am playing.

Respectable Forum I am Gaetani Giancarlo and I want to signal a problem:

Trying to update the portableapp I have a problem in downloading the installer of QMMP because the computer tells me that it is impossible to reach the server in which is located this app. This error happens only for this app while the others have installed correctly. Not knowing the reason of this mistake I would like to know if there is another way to download the installer of this program. Thanking you in advance and waiting if there is a person that can solve my problem, I salute you.

Why does the VLC app keep making me reinstall it whenever I want to open it?

I am also having troubles with opening up a recorded video with another player (I made sure to save it in the right/compatible format) and renaming video files. Any suggestions or advice for any of these issues?

Fresh & upgraded installation. New and old platform.
Details: Almost the Balabolka's issue. Except ↓↓

- Starts in English since the first run.
- Only noticed the language issue.
- Tested on a x64 bit machine. Platform: 26.3. App: 3.4.0 & 3.4.1.

When the updater tries to update CDex 2.24 Rev2 there is an error that says
"Download Error : File not found (404)

Hi,

VLC portable is not starting; the portable apps wrapper claims there is another instance of VLC already running, but that is not the case. The computer was rebooted.

This happened after installing the Milkdrop visualization plugin.

Removing the portable VLC folder and reinstalling it does not help.

Any idea how to fix this?

Upon starting the latest MediaInfo 23.10, the MediaInfo preferences window opens, instead of the main application window.
I tried changing some MediaInfo settings (which are properly saved), and even re-installing MediaInfo. But it still starts with the preferences window every time I launch the app.
