How execute automatic login with Firefox?

Submitted by ghisirds on September 26, 2007 - 11:55am

Hi,
do exist a Firefox command that allow auto login?
When I enter in a site that ask user name and password, I wish that the program put automatically this information (it already do this when saving the password) and enter.
The result is that when I connect to the site for autentication, automatically do it, as saving cookie but some web site cancel cookie after short time.
I have already tested with failure AutoAuth, Autologin, LoginManager, Secure Login and Selenium.
Is there a solution to the snag?
Thanks

Memory usage up and down is it my fault ..?

Submitted by mypenry on September 24, 2007 - 10:57am

I'm running Firefox Portable 2.0.07 and ive been tweaking it ( should have known better )
for some reason now when I surf , the memory usage constantly fluctuates up and down
all the time ( from 30% to 90% ) ive disabled all my add on's and only run Noia 2.0 eXtreme Theme.

when I close Firefox Portable the Memory usage goes back to normal with no vast fluctuations at all
when I re start firefox portable the fluctuations instantly start again..?

is there any way I can get back to the original default settings ( I can't remember where ive Tweaked !! )

Hi.
I have downloaded Firefox to my USB, and clicked on the mozzila firefox sign. So the page started to load, and then it said Timed out (in the bottom left corner of the screen.) is there something wrong with my copy of the application.

Firefox Portable now fastest browser ever on my PC...RAM disk

Submitted by geekasaurus on September 20, 2007 - 4:08am

I created a RAM disk and installed Portable Firefox onto it with fasterfox loaded and tried the prefetching. I am blown away by the increase in speed. I tried this in the past with non-portable FF but this is much better!
What a great use of my previously unused RAM! You can also set a ramdisk to not create an image upon shutdown, thus making all of your surfing dissapear. You have to copy over Portable FF every time in that case, but it only takes a few seconds.

Disabling the splash screen

Submitted by Hotsoup on September 14, 2007 - 11:02am

Is there a way to disable the splash screen? I recognize that the splash is probably some commercial compromise for PA, but I open and close browser windows dozens of times a day, it's really a distraction.

I searched the forums and didn't find any Firefox 2.0.0.6 specific help on this. Thank you!
