Hello,

I have installed the latest Version of OpenOffice in German. Today I Scan with Clamwin. Clamwin found a Trojan, in destination:

Is this a Trojan or just a harmless named data?

running new OO3beta after install

Hey community,

i've just downloaded the new portableapps-version of OpenOffice and truied to install it on my office-pc.
Installing it was successful, but not executing it. It tried to copy some files to my C:-partition, but due to missing administrator-rights it couldn't do that and failed starting OpenOffice.

I expected this version to be a suite which runs on EVERY pc (running under windows), without doing transactions to the current pc it is running on ?! (if i use it from stick it runs on several pcs).

What do i have to do to make OpenOffice run ?!?! I#m a little confused.

Extract: Error writing to file xxx

Submitted by cbecker on May 16, 2008 - 11:23am

I'm trying to install OO Portable and keep getting the error message "Extract: Error writing to file xxx," Where xxx is a different filename seemingly dependent on where I try to install. The only button on the error message is OK. I press that and the installation does not continue, and remains at that file until I press Cancel.

I tried to install to a network drive Q:\Global Share\Install\OpenOffice\ and got the error message for "th_en_US_v2.dat."

Figuring the path was too long, I then tried installing to G:\OpenOffice\ (another network drive) and got it for "off-office_l.ott."

Java and Class Archive configuration problem 2.4

Submitted by Maasdoel on May 12, 2008 - 6:09am

Hi

Been struggling a week now!

Previous working configuration.

1. Was running Ver 2.2 on a stick and on the local HDD as a portable app.
2. Win XP host system
3. Using Java and Mysql *.jar file for JDBC functionality(latest)
4. No problems

Upgraded to 2.4 on both installations.

Problem statement

XP Host
1. Path to local Java auto detected but not selected.
2. Path to Class/Archive mysql*.jar is clear every time I start OOp
3. File G:\PortableApps\OpenOfficePortable\Data\settings\user\config\javasettings_Windows_x86.xml
