Just writing to see how come OO Base doesn't appear in the menu? I just deleted my old Open Office as I thought this was some update error but then realized when I did a fresh install its still not coming up. Anyone know whats up with this?
Hi, I downloaded and installed this file in my USB drive. - OpenOffice_Portable_2.4.1_de.paf.exe.
Is there any way I can get the menu in English ? \Or do I have to scrap this installation and download an english version ?
Thanks
Hi
I installed a number of extensions in OO V3 Beta 1. They worked fine until I upgraded to Beta 2.
Now whenever I open OO V3 I get an error message for each installed extension. I tried to disable them to test if I would still get the error message. However the extention manager in Beta 2 seems to be unaware of any additional extensions.
any advice?
Regards
Paul

Hi
1) my U3 USB Stick is absolutely µS-free -> no IE. My Computer holds an IE - as Part of it´s XP -, and both are GERMAN: might it be that this can cause some U3 Installations not to work because they require an U.S. IE?
2) desperately looking for an U3 OpenOffice. Reading everywhere that it should exist, I cannot find it. Do You know where it is hidden?
The only File I could find is an EXE one (openoffice_org_for_u3.exe) - but the Stick only allows u3p format to be installed onto it (is there a Workaround to solve this Problem?).
Greetings from Ingolstadt (Audi Town), Bavaria, Europe
after spending many minutes searching this site, I realize that I should be the 1st to ask this Q'; How do I i use eraser?
1st> I downloaded it
2nd> I installed it
3> I opened it
Now I can't fig'r out how to use it. I just want to use it for simple document disintegration instead of deletion. Steps please. Thanks

OK! where and how do I submit this post?
I installed the Australian dictionary into OO as we have a lot of slight spelling differences to the US. However whenever I activate the language my spell check doesn't work. Doesn't pick up an mistakes at all
Ok, I've installed openoffice.org to my portable device. Now, how do I run it?
I am asking, because its NOT listed in the portableapps menu anyplace, so I go into Windows Explorer under G:\Portableapps\Openoficeportable\ which does exist, so I go in there, and there are a bunch of files listed. which one do I click on?
and WHY isn't it listed in the portableapps menu? and why won't it run when I click on a .doc file in Windows? thats what I don't understand....
Hi All,
This is the first project where I had to contribute on complex Word documents.
The project team has a mix of Office 2007 and Office 2003 and then me
So we have standardized on .doc (2000/XP). I'm not sure if there is a 2003 .doc format as well...
The documents includes styles, TOC, cross references. They also employ "same as previous" to keep the headers and footers in sync across the different sections.
